Not as good as the original

Fit is perfect, and functional as always, however, pretty disappointed overall as I feel that my wallet barely sticks to the back of the phone when I have this on, it’s bad enough where I don’t even use the grip at all and rather be without it unfortunately....

Weak outer magnets

The magnet that is on the inside, to stick to the phone is strong enough that the adhesive is unnecessary. But the outer magnets so that it sticks to the wireless charger or metal surfaces is not even as strong as previous ohsnaps I’ve owned and certainly not strong enough to confidently hold up these new iPhones which seem to weigh a bit more than older phones. I was disappointed tbh
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the new versatility of be able to take it off and use it on cases or even just on the phone but at the same time be strong enough to hold it stronger and doesn't fall off

Prefer Snap Grip 4

Although the overall build quality and magnetic ability to the phone is improved, the magnetic hold to MagSafe accessories and magnetic surfaces is nowhere near as good as the Snap Grip 4. The Snap Grip 5 falls off the Snap Car Mount and will slide down if placed on magnetic surfaces vertically. I never had these issues with the Snap Grip 4 and will go back to using it for this reason.

Almost there.

The premise is fantastic and mostly works. The issues are that it doesn’t slide out as easily as I would like, and there is no satisfying “snap” when you press it back in.The rotation is a little stiff, and doesn’t feel as smooth as I would have expected for the price.I’m also disappointed that the disc is plastic and not metal. It doesn’t feel very sturdy. With that in mind, the kickstand mode is a great idea, but because it’s all plastic, it’s already begun to wear the edge where it clicks in and it’s only been a couple of weeks.I want to like this more than I do because all the piece are there for a great product, but the execution and materials make it feel cheap and wear out more quickly than I would expect.I’ll keep using it for now, but when it inevitably breaks in a few months, I won’t be purchasing a replacement.

Charge Through Function Does Not Work Consistently

The charge through function does not work consistently with all chargers and cases. Makes it difficult to rely on for charging purposes and i often have to remove SnapGrid 5 in order to charge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not much of an upgrade from the Snap 4.

I was expecting more, especially for the price. The Snap 4 was really snappy with its hinge, but the 5 can have issues with the hinge where it doesn’t properly retract and sit flush. You might have to manually fix it at times. That’s disappointing. I fear the quality could lead to o failure at some point.
