Might be good for others

I’m not really impressed with this product. This is just my opinion I am not saying it won’t be good for you. I saw the ad and thought that would be awesome I should get it but I guess it didn’t live up to the hype for me I think that’s why I’m so disappointed. I bought the new latest and greatest, paid a premium price which I’m usually ok with as long as it executes. Sadly I don’t feel it does I am unable to move it with the ease in which the gentleman does in the ad. Keep in mind I also had the phone case they sell so it’s not like I had another brand of phone case that could be throwing it off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased four items, including this one, and it’s just not working for me. The new Grip 5 technology feels awkward. I can’t easily slide my finger in one-handed like I could with the previous models. It also seems a bit fragile, and I really miss the old design with the elastic band.

I was happy to see the new version didn’t require adhesive for the phone but not as happy when I tried to use the magnet function for anything. I used to stick the snap 4 to my hood vent while cooking but when I tried to do that with the new one it just slid off and scratched it. This new version won’t even stick to the fridge. I have the same issue with any MagSafe charging. It will stick, but it’s much harder to line up and doesn’t stick nearly as good as the last version. I wish I knew this before I preordered the new one.

The great influencer marketing sold me on this overpriced magnet. Pros: the magnet is strong, and it sits pretty flush. Cons: 2 handed operation to open it, and it’s very uncomfortable. The metal is sharp and not user friendly. The magnet gets insanely hot while charging which my phone does not- new iPhone 17. I feel like I completely wasted my money and waited weeks to receive it.

The MagSafe function of Snap Grip 5 is not as strong as Snap Grip 4. I have to take Snap Grip 5 off to use MagSafe accessories.

Hated the idea of a pop socket... But didn't want a case for my new 17 Pro Max. Then saw the Grip 5... No adhesive. MagSafe... Super thin. Had to try it. I love it. Don't even have to take it off to charge on my Belkin stand. Definitely a game changer.

Grip 5 is weaker

The grip 5 has weaker magnets on the exterior. It no longer holds my phone up/sticks to metal as well as the 4. I tested both on different surfaces and the 4 never budges.I do like the new color options but disappointed the magnets are not the same.
