It doesn't stick to my case

I have tried 2 Snap Grip 4 devices and neither of them has stuck well to any case I have used with my Z Fold 5. I've bought different cases, the last one I made sure it had a solid and smooth back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The magnetic feature damages surfaces

The two clips on the back damage surfaces when you use the magnet to attach the phone to a metal surface. If you stick it on and then remove it, you'll notice that it has scratched the paint. Using it damaged the paint on my cabinets on the first day, which was disappointing.

Snap 4 and Snap 5 are great in their own way

I've been using ohsnap grips since the first iteration on kickstarter. It's been a ride! I've gotten a new version every time it's released and each one has had its own pros and cons. I was very excited about an adhesive-free grip though since I like to take my case off when at home and needed a grip that can easily be removed when I want to put my case back on. The magnets on the snap 5 are so strong that it delivers on exactly what it promises. So cool! However, because of this, I've had a less seamless magnetic "snap" on MagSafe products because the magnets on snap 5 are so strong that it attaches incompletely to the MagSafe products vs the snap 4 which always seamlessly just snapped on. This is why I'll continue to keep the snap 4 on my case and a snap 5 for my phone out of the case! Both are good for different purposes so please don't retire the snap 4!!!

Redesign to love, if your phone case is thin

so, this is my second snap grip and I was super excited for the magnetic connection without the adhesive and the added colors. But, I have a thicker phone case and have found that it disconnects very easily. If I raise my hand to fast, my phone goes flying while the grip is securely in my hand. I’ve scratched my case quite a bit at this point and my need to stop using until I have a thinner case. The good stuff is no adhesive, ease of switching between cases, phones, etc., vibrant new colors. It even feel thinner and it has been closing easier too.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Magnet is weak

Prior oh snap grips have been very strong with attachments like car mount and chargers, however this grip barely grips my car mount, falling off easily and often while driving, which is very distracting. The grip itself is very smooth and pleasant to use as a phone grip though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't take our Snap Grip 4 away!

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and own two Snap Grip 4s, two Snap Car Mounts... pretty much two of everything because I LOVE these accessories! Since longtime users know the sticky can break down (heat, usage, cosmic rays, who knows), I jumped at the chance for the glueless Snap Grip 5. While the no-sticky feature is great, the magnetic power doesn't grab like the 4... as in "hard to trust it won't fall off" (and no, it isn't the camera bumps because we're talking about the Snap Charge Qi2 and Oh Snap's own mounts using Snap Cases... sorry!) Being real: the stickiness keeps the 4 on your phone/case instead of the metal when you remove it, but the tradeoff with the coating seeming to diminish that feature -- especially if you depend on that magnetic hold more than having a kickstand. One more thing: why does my brandy new Snap Grip 5 still say "Snap 4" on the back... just like my ol' trusty Snap Grip 4?
