I previously had a snap 4. I loved it. I didn't think they could improve on the snap 4 but they did. I bought 1 toTry out and now I need to order like 3 more.

Been a fan of the Grip 4 and wanted to try Grip 5

Got Grip 5 Boring Black idk if its just my phone being heavy or the coating on the Grip 5 Boring Black but it doesnt stay in place it slides down when I mount it on gym equipment or my fridge, my Grip 4 that I got in Stone doesnt have the coating on it as this Grip 5 Black does. Other than that ive always loved this phone grip and will continue to buy just maybe in a different color

Sort of an improvement

I’ve used the snap 3, 4, and now the new 5 and this new one has got to be my least favorite. It’s nice not having to worry about the adhesive anymore but the magnets in the 5 just aren’t as good. I use your car mount and with the 3 and 4 the grip would just pull itself into position when it got close to the mount. The 5 is kind of a struggle to get dead center on the mount and even if it is if I try and use my phone while it’s on the mount it starts sliding and wants to fall off. I have to take the grip off so much when my phone is stuck to mounts it’s just more worth it to leave it off or just switch back to the snap 4.

Keeps getting better

I have been using Snap Grips for over 5 years now - and have gone through several of their different versions. Each time they continue to improve. I love having this version that no longer requires the adhesive - and I feel very confident that it is not going to fall off - the magnets connecting it to the phone are very strong. My only complaint is it seems that the magnets that connect the Snap Grip to other magsafe things (chargers, stands, wallets, etc - are a little weaker than Snap Grip 4. They hold but not as well - and can be knocked off with not too much effort. I am sure they will find a way to improve this next though!

I’m a long time customer. Just purchased this new grip to use it without the phone case, it looks and feels amazing, BUT, it doesn’t stick to the Snap car mount that was previously purchased from you and which is perfectly fine with my Snap grip 4...

Getting used to it

This does take getting used to! I find that at times, I don't use it but am trying to remember to each time. I am pleased that it appears to be built well enough that it shouldn't break under regular use. I am able to use the Snap Charger Qi2 with this still on my phone. I cannot however use other wireless chargers with this attached. I do love the low profile it has so it doesn't stick out further than the camera portion of my Pixel 10 XL. Claims to have a kickstand ability which I can't seem to get to work.

I have some cases that work well with my snap 4 and others that don’t, when I wirelessly charge. So it’s a pain to have to try to take it off because it’s adhesive, Snap 5 is not and it’s amazing!! I have been waiting and hoping for this, and it has finally arrived. No more adhesive, no more trying to pry it off with something. I wish they would have made this years ago, and after this one I’m getting another one.

Only Slightly compatible with mounts!

Why or why do the grips measurements differ with almost every iteration?! Even a half a millimeter will make the grips incompatible with the last generations mounts which worked perfect with those grips. I just got the new red Grip 5 and really liked the color and look. Low and behold went to put it in my car mount which I loved and it will not sit fully locked in. If you have a heavy phone it will not lock in and when you hit a small bump it will fall off. Luckily I have a samsung flip6 and I can close it. Now I have to be very careful with both of my vehicles ohsnap mounts because neither fully fit the new grip. Im disappointed that in the near future "brand new" mounts will become available for purchase and its a cash grab.
