Great colors, no sticky but not as strong

Love the sticky-free magnet. However, seems like the magnetic attraction to chargers and stands is 60-75% of my previous Oh Snap (with the sticky). I fumble around way more than usual getting the phone in place and the hold is not nearly as strong. Glad I kept my old one.

Nice alternative

I’ve had both grip 3 and 4. The 5 is a nice alternative if you’re looking to swap cases or grips frequently. I think I may still prefer 4 for the magnet strength. It sticks fine to the case and daily use. However if not perfect on a stand or with the slightest bump it can become dislodged. I think it may be the coating. Either way this grip will get lots of use!

What Happened?!?

I had the Snap Grip 3 - great. I had the Snap Grip 4 - perfect. So I was ecstatic when the SG 5 came out. To my surprise, they regressed! You can’t charge through a MagSafe case with this one. You absolutely could with the SG 4. So now if you’re gonna have a case on your phone, you have to take the Snap Grip 5 off every time you charge your phone. Blows my mind. This isn’t better. Who cares that you can take it on or off, because duh... you have to take it off to charge your phone! Do yourself a favor, but the SG 4, slap it on and carry on. The 5’s are garbage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product but not for my phone, let me explain

What drew me to the ohsnap was its magnetic feature and how thin it is compared to a popsocket. Being able to stick it to gym equipment while I workout was a great idea. Unfortunately for me since I have the Samsung Fold 7 the phone does not stick evenly to flat surfaces because of how far the cameras sticks out. I do a have case on it but the back of the case does not stick out to the ends of the camera lens. So if you have a Samsung Fold 7 and want the ohsnap, make sure you have a case that is fully flat with the ends of the camera's lens.

Long Term Usage

I've had the Snap 5 for a few weeks now and while it is great to be able to snap it to my phone without adhesive, there is one flaw that was not present with the Snap 4:The soft texture of the metal part, which the website says is supposed to help with magnetic grip on surfaces, is actually less effective in sticking to magnetic surfaces. Especially smooth painted metal surfaces like re refrigerator.The Snap 4 stuck in place wherever I placed it on my fridge. Very handy! The Snap 5 will stick as well, but very slowly slides down the surface. The only thing I can attribute to this change is the finish on the metal. A bit disappointing as I can no longer keep my phone stuck to the fridge while in the kitchen unless I monitor the sliding every few minutes.

Great product but will break

I have loved all of these product iterations throughout the years. My favorite was the one that had the rubber band funeral. All of these will eventually break on you though. I’ve had to read by many over the years. I wish they were more durable.

The snap came off while running

I got the iPhone 17 and got the new Ohsnap. I went for first run using it, coming off the snap and damaging my phone when it hit the ground.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Little disappointed

Really liked the 4, but my biggest issue is I couldn’t remove easily because it didn’t like a couple of chargers. So I was excited about the 5 because it was removable allowing me to use all the chargers. Well unfortunately the magnets on the 5 are noticeably weaker than the 4s. Which kinda defeats my use for them, the grip part I rarely use. Did a side by side comparison and the 4 would hold my phone on the fridge no problem, while the 5 slid right off. Other than that, great product.
