I’ll never have a different pop socket brand for sure, I love it. PS - Be careful spinning it too hard since they removed the sticky back, I yeeted my phone accidentally but only once 🤷🏼♂️🤘🏼

Snap Grip 4 is better

I had my phone repaired by Apple which required me snap grip 4 to be removed. I had the snap grip 4 for two years prior to that. The only benefit of the 5 is that there is no adhesive. The snap grip 4 had a much stronger magnet! I had no issues with connecting to MagSafe previously with the 4. With the 5, it’s hard to fully align MagSafe and the grip came off a couple times when i tried popping out the center. I will be buying the 4 since it’s easier to connect to MagSafe and won’t come off.

Best grip ever

I had purchased the snap grip 5 not knowing that it was going to be magnetic but it is such a phenomenal product. I do a lot of filming on my phone and I do use a gimbal and just the practicality of being able to remove it and take the case off to properly use my gimbal and a simple reattachment of the grip is so convenient. I have already recommended this grip to friends and family and co-workers. I cannot emphasize enough on how good of a product this is and the quality is excellent. It is worth every penny that I paid

Snap Grip 4 was better

I went ahead and made the purchase on this grip, but I would say it's not the best. With the 4 I was able to charge using the Apple MagSafe charger and a Cellhelmet wireless charger without any issues, but with the 5 it doesn't even act like it wants to magnetize to any charger. The Snap Wall Mount is no longer compatible with the 5 as well as other magnetic bases such as my car mount. It does adhere to metal surfaces without issues and I can take the 5 off any metal surface without leaving it behind. The adhesive on my 4 was worn out and falling off so I went ahead and bought the 5. I do not fully recommend this grip until some changes are made to better magnetize to the Snap Wall Mount and other made by OhSnap and other companies. Don't jump the gun and get this grip until these issues are fixed because you'll end up with a bad case of buyer's remorse.

Best version yet!

I’ve had 3 of these now and Snap Grip 5 is the best by far! No adhesive. No guessing on where to attach the grip. Super strong connection. The plastic back feels more durable after previous versions breaking within a short time frame. No charging disruption when using and wireless charger. I have zero complaints about this version. Way to go OhSnap!

Really excited for Snap Grip 5 with the removal of adhesive; however, the mounting magnetization is not nearly as strong as the four grips before it. Without a case, the Snap Grip 5 slides across metal surfaces as the magnet is unable to bear the weight of the phone in one case, and cannot be fully applied due to being thinner than the camera bumps in another. It is a good temporary purchase, especially if you are interested in using other products in the Snap ecosystem. But it does not replace the Grip 4 for me, unfortunately.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A step backwards.

I have an older Snap 3 and it works with all wireless chargers. This new design works with 30% of chargers, which is mentioned in the description, but is very annoying in practice. Specifically because my Snap 3 works with all chargers. For a “design” forward company, this new Snap is a step backwards.
