Impressive Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box, this Bissell impressed. It went together so quickly that you could start using it within 60 seconds of pulling it out of the box. This is a powerful upright in an easy-to-maneuver package! I love our other Bissell and even used it on our bedroom a week prior to getting this new one. The older one works well and we filled multiple canisters vacuuming our room. Fast forward a week and we ran the new one over the carpet in our room. We do have two cats, a dog and kids. But I didn’t expect the new one to collect much. However I was wrong- the canister filled with pet hair and dust almost instantly! That sold me! The light works great for seeing under the bed and the wand made cleaning around the baseboards a breeze. But the suction power is what impresses me most.

Lightweight but a little tricky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in a house with 4 long haired humans, one cat and one dog. I do a lot of vacuuming!! Having a vacuum that doesn't get hair tangled around the brush roller sounded too good to be true, but several passes around the carpets and hardwood throughout my house and the brush roller is still hair-free! I don't know how they did it, but it's a really nice feature.
The CleanView Max Tangle-Free was easy to assemble out of the box, with only a few pieces needing to be clicked into place. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to carry up and down stairs, which is a big plus for a small individual! It has a wide path and covers a good bit of flooring at once. The suction is fair, it often takes several passes to completely clean up the floor. It struggled a bit with sand on hardwood and cat hair on a low oriental rug. It did well with potting soil on low carpet. Based on what was in the dirt canister, it did remove a good deal of dirt and hair from my floors. The headlights are great for finding areas you've missed when you're cleaning. The cord and hose length were adequate for most every day cleaning needs. The upholstery tool did a great job cleaning pet hair off the couch!
I did have a few challenges with the vacuum. It can be tricky to select the right setting on the dial for floor type. It's supposed to be set as low as possible while still being able to push the vacuum. In my house, I change between low carpet, higher carpet and hard flooring so there's a lot of adjusting the roller height to accommodate that. Often times I'd set it and all would start off well, then I needed to keep raising the roller as it got harder and harder to push the vacuum. This vacuum is not self propelled, so you already have to just use your muscles to move it around, and it felt like I was often fighting against the vacuum to get the setting right to clean the floor while still being able to push the vacuum. If the roller is too high, I found, it didn't pick up much at all.
One eccentricity that I've never encountered before on a vacuum was the tremendous amount of static electricity this vacuum generated! I was warned about this in the manual, fortunately, because it felt like I was getting electrocuted repeatedly while cleaning the carpets because of the static shocks. It was very uncomfortable!!
I think this is a good choice for a smaller home with a mix of lower carpet and hard flooring. If you hate cutting hair off a brush roller, you'll like not having to do that anymore! Be prepared to put some muscle into your cleaning, and mentally prepare for repeated static shocks! For a larger home with a lot of deep carpet, I think this would be uncomfortable as a primary vacuum.

This vacuum is amazing

It’s incredibly powerful, which as a mom of 2 and several pets, I really appreciate a vacuum that doesn’t require me to go over spots multiple times. The CleanView Max Tangle-Free Vacuum got the job done on the first pass! I found this to be particularly true with the attachments. There was absolutely no loss of suction power when using any of the attachments. I loved the adjustable height feature. The dial on the top of the vacuum made it easy for me to vacuum a thin hallway runner and a thick family room rug with minimal effort. The headlights were a feature I never knew I needed in my life! It makes cleaning under desks and tables so much easier. I feel like the tank of this vacuum is really big, in a good way! I don’t have to empty it after every room. I was able to do all bedrooms, hallway and stairs before needing to empty, which you can see in the pictures how much it held! Perhaps my favorite feature is the power button being at my feet. It was just so convenient and logical of a placement. The vacuum is really easy to control and handled with ease. It truly is the best vacuum I’ve ever had!

This Vacuum Handles My House Like a Pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mom of 3 (with one still crawling), this Cleanview Max Tangle-Free is actually worth it. It doesn’t feel cheap, it rolls smooth, and the suction is strong enough that I’m not going over the same area multiple times. Cereal, play-doh crumbs, dog hair… gone. I have long hair and two of my girls have long hair too, and this is one of the only vacuums I’ve owned where I’m not constantly sitting on the floor cutting hair out of the roller. The tangle-free brush actually stays tangle-free. The headlights are honestly my favorite feature though. I didn’t realize how much I was missing under the couch and darker corners until I could literally see what was hiding down there. Overall, I feel like I’m getting a deeper clean in less time, and I feel better letting my crawler explore the floors because I know I’m actually picking up all the little stuff she would find.

Impressive cleaning power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy to have added this vacuum to our cleaning arsenal. We have 3 kids and 3 cats, so messes happen all day every day. The design is user friendly, it’s easy to set up, take apart, and clean. The weight is about what you would expect- not light but not too heavy. The value for money is fantastic compared to others on the market with the same capabilities. The suction is very powerful! It really seems to suck out every last piece of dirt from the carpet. I am including a photo of how much dirt was sucked out of only HALF of an 8x10 low pile area rug that was just vacuumed yesterday with another brand vacuum. It can be a bit too powerful for my thinner area rugs, but adjusting the brush roll height helps. The headlights are very bright and helpful to see and erase messes under furniture and in darker areas, like when we are cleaning up after dinner in the darker hours of the day and need to see under the table and chairs. The turbo eraser attachment is extremely helpful for furniture and steps. It doesn’t take much to stop the brush roll on it, but the suction stays strong regardless. With lots of long hair in this house, my favorite feature is tangle free brush.

Cleans up all of lifes little messes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Life is chaotic. With two dogs and a toddler, there is no end to the messes that pile up on the floors and couches of my house. Whether they're tracking in dirt and leaves from the backyard, spilling crumbs on the floor, or ripping up dog toys across the rug (believe it or not, done by both dog and child at any given time), there is always some kind of mess that has to be cleaned up. So, the CleanView Max Tangle-Free is kind of a lifesaver when it comes to keeping the house some semblance of clean.
To start, the CleanView Max is pretty lightweight, so it's easy to carry and move around the house, so I don't have to dread lugging a heavy vacuum around when a spill happens. The design is sleek and easy to use. As you can see, it comes with a large, clear canister for holding the dust and debris it sucks up, which means I can vacuum the entire house without having to empty it once. The suction power is great for every day messes, but is strong enough for stubborn messes, too. The settings on the bottom of the vacuum allow you to adjust the height, so you can ensure the right suction whether you're vacuuming on hardwood floors or thick carpets. The extension wand is easy to pull out to clean along baseboards, under furniture, or clean up crumbs off the couch.
The headlights are an awesome feature, especially for hardwood floors. Our hardwood is on the darker side, so it can be hard to spot finer particles of dust or hair that are always around, especially with one of our dogs being double coated and shedding all year round. The headlights make it extremely easy to see the mess as you're cleaning it, and ensure that the vacuum picks up everything before you move to the next spot.
Ultimately, though, I think my favorite feature is the "tangle free" aspect of it. I have a lot of hair and, like my dog, I shed a lot of it all the time. Almost every vacuum I've ever had falls victim to the hair tangling in the roller, and I have to get scissors and fight tooth and nail to get the hair out. So far, that hasn't been an issue with the CleanView Max. Hair doesn't get stuck in the roller in the same way, as it seems to move the hair to the dirt canister before it can get stuck in the roller. No idea what magic it took to make this happen, but it makes my life way easier not having to worry about cutting hair out of my vacuum roller!
I've never had a bad experience with a Bissell vacuum, and this one is no exception. It's got a ton of fantastic features, and comes at an affordable price point. If you have dogs or kids (or both!) and are looking for a good vacuum that doesn't break the bank, the ClearView Max is a great option.

What I like about this vacuum:
It’s is lightweight and easy to put together straight out of the box.
It maneuvers well around furniture, and the led lights truly make a big difference when looking for hidden crumbs.
It’s very easy and mess free to empty. You just push a button. It also comes with two washable filters which is convenient.
The design is simple and it doesn’t come with a ton of useless accessories. The two it comes with are very functional.
The wand feature is so convenient and detaches quickly.
What I like about this vacuum:

The suction is just ok. If you have a high traffic home like me (2 pets, 2 kids, 2 adults in a small space) I don’t think this vacuum would cut it. It would work ok as a second vacuum or quick mess since it’s so light and simple. I’d say it’s more suited for a single person or couple with no pets.

Dirt Be Gone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am totally sold on the Bissell CleanView Max Tangle–Free upright vacuum. When I pulled it out of the box, it was so easy to assemble. With a couple of clicks into place, it was ready to tackle my house. The design is surprisingly lightweight, which makes it so easy to carry up the steps. I really liked how the handle swivels as you guide it over the carpet. But, my favorite feature was the light that projects out of the base of the vacuum. It is so satisfying to see the dirt and dust that is going to disappear as you sweep over it!
A dial on the vacuum’s base can be turned to adjust the height for the carpet or wood floor that you are sweeping. I would probably prefer this dial being located higher up or adjusting automatically so that I don’t have to bend so low to change it.
Because I have two cats, I like attaching the Turbo Eraser Pet tool to the hose to clean my couch. It picked up the hair nicely, although the vacuum would start tipping over from the hose’s back-and-forth action and pull against the vacuum’s lightweight base.
It made me literally smile when I emptied the dirt tank and saw the amount of dirt and hair that I had collected from my house. What a good feeling! I definitely will be getting the CleanView Max Tangle-Free upright vacuum as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Otherwise…she’ll try to take mine!
