First the positives: The unit works very well for me around Vancouver when I do not wish to use publicly available wifi as in coffee shops, in my car parked around the city, etc.
Not so great, the -ves: The unit is exceedingly heavy and I cannot carry it in my pant pocket if I’m not wearing a belt! I’m thinking that I could have saved a few dollars by purchasing the SOLIS Edge instead as it is much lighter.
The other -ve is the price. This is somewhat offset by the slightly cheaper rates and the fact that, if you only need it very sporadically , you can get away with the free monthly plan which is good for Lifetime.
Finally, not a serious problem but I ought to mention it: When turned on, the unit has taken about 2 minutes to connect to a signal. If you’re lacking in patience don’t buy this unit.

What I needed

Excellent little unit. It doesn’t give you any extra range or coverage, so if you are thinking it will keep you connected when your phone can’t, it’s not for you. It works on cell coverage. However, it will switch between providers to get the best service (rogers/bell/telus) and do so automatically. For me, I’m using mine in the warehouse that has no wifi, to keep me informed of temperature, as well as allow me to turn the lights on and turn the switch on that controls the cord plugged in to my delivery truck. It is performing flawlessly.
I would recommend this to a friend!
