This is perfect size for my home use , very easy to set up , I did the manually and wired version , the ink replacement(s) are in a decent range , runs very quiet and the copies are clear and sharp in both bl & wh and colour.
I would recommend this to anyone .

Good affordable printer

Having had problems with the print heads of ink tank printers that made our three year old printer junk, we switched back to cartridge printer . The Brother was on sale and good for our home office needs. Setup was tricky so they lost a star—-scanning the photo link took us to US site which didn’t have our model of printer. Used the pc setup after that. Had to setup WiFi twice. Working now no discernible problems. Have signed up for auto shipping on cartridges as Best Buy and Amazon did not stock Brothers brands. After crap experience with inktank printer maybe partly due to knockoff inks, I’m not fooling around with the manufacturer of new cartridges but sticking to Brother. This is a plan for auto shipping of cartridges based on print usage with a monthly fee so when new cartridges ship, you have all ready paid for them.

Excellent product so far

I've never owned a Brother product but the reviews on the website were positive. I bought the last printer of this model available at Best Buy and hoped for a good product. I am not disappointed so far. Installation was extremely easy. The ink cartridges popped in easily. I'm finding the colours on my printouts are not very bright so I'm hoping that when I purchase new ink this will improve. Perhaps the cartridges that came with it were a bit dried out? My next concern is the cost of new ink. My last printer had such expensive cartridges that it would be cheaper to buy a new printer every time the ink ran out.
