Great Ken Doll!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High Quality Ken Doll! He's made a new friend in our house. My 5 year old son honestly didn't want a doll, but I waited to let him choose a play set and the dolls were all that were left. He was actually excited opening this and moving it around. I'm sure he'll play with his big sister with it. It is a very nice looking figure.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my daughter watched the Barbie movie she had to have all the barbies specially Ken. She has had Ken with her every where she goes he has held up. Very well mad sturday can take all the crashing and banging my 4 year old does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Holiday Ken for 2025 was a very anticipated doll for me because I was excited to see the different choices available for Ken. I choose the Ken who matched the Ever After High Doll Hunter that Mattel had discontinued years ago. Out of the box, his hair is very plastered with gell or glue because it's going no where. His printing was flawless on the sides of his face and I like his almost smirking grin. His features are not pixelated and there's no discoloration in the plastic used to create his body.
I was very disappointed that he has limited articulation. Movement at the head, shoulders and hips, something I would expect from a basic Ken. His jacket was nice though the plastic tab puts a hole in the fabric and to keep it closed I will have to stitch on a snap. I really appreciate that the shirt and jacket are separate pieces! The shirt is Velcro in the front but in order to remove it you have to cut the stitch at the bowtie. Another snap I will have to add. The pants are a magnet for lint but I love that they are not shorts.
The doll is still the good quality I expect from Mattel and I love that this doll could be a relative of the Hunter doll from Ever after High. There's not a perfect skin match to existing made to move Ken dolls but I did swap his body with the Signature Looks doll with long brown hair. I needed more articulation.

Holiday Ken Is Here To Stay!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This handsome Ken has a wonderful face screening. I love that he is not pixelated. Holiday Ken is on a model muse body with the basic five points of articulation; making him perfect for display. I love the suit colors. However, I wish it were a different material with a hook or snap in the front of the jacket. I like that the shirt and jacket are two separate pieces. The elastic to keep the shirt tucked in is chef’s kiss. Please bring back Holiday Ken every year!

He looks ready for a glamorous holiday party and pairs perfectly with the 2025 Holiday Barbie. One of the nicest touches is his rooted hair, which gives him a more realistic and polished look compared to the usual molded Ken dolls. His facial details are carefully designed, with bright eyes and a confident smile that make him stand out. The doll comes with a display stand and a Certificate of Authenticity, making it clear that this is a collector’s piece meant to be admired. The packaging is also beautifully designed, ideal for displaying without even taking him out of the box. On the downside, Ken isn’t very poseable—his arms and legs don’t bend much, and his jacket is stitched closed, which limits outfit changes and play options. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was happy to get this Ken doll, but the quality is not what I remember of the collectible holiday barbies of my childhood. Ken’s clothes are nicely made and fit well, but his hair is really weird. It’s hard on top but clearly meant to be soft hair, and the back looks like someone just didn’t try to make it nice. If you were leaving this in the box, I’m sure you wouldn’t notice, but my daughter is 7 and wants this to be the groom at her wedding, so out of the box he went. All in all, it’s about the same quality as a regular clamshell packaged Ken doll, just in a fancier outfit. The packaging is well done, the inclusion of a plastic stand is a nice touch for a collector.
