[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compact, light, easy to carry around and snap anything and everything to your hearts content. Without a screen it eliminates the desire for perfection and produces authenticity - something I miss so much it a heavily digitized, aesthetically obsessed world.
This is a small, lightweight retro camera which falls in the camera product category of "toy cameras". I am an adult simply looking to recreate the feeling of snapping photos like we used to do before complicated technology took over. Hopefully the camera holds up for a long time. I have only had it for a short while.
A friend bought one right before we went to Twitchcon last year and the pictures really captured all the fun we had together. What really sold me was the simplicity of pulling it out, capturing a picture, and tucking it back away. I normally film everything for YouTube, but the Camp Snap cameras made me take a step back and realize that just living in the moment is another option.
I love having my Camp Snap still shot camera. I bring it to weddings and pass it around to let guests snap photos of each other! I also have the Super 8 looking video camera and I do the same with that. Guests love it! They all say they want one after having fun with mine. The key really cool thing about it is that it turns on and off easy, no viewing is great and no way to erase photos too so when I give it to guests I don't have to worry about anything. While they get all this footage of the wedding I can use it for BTS and also to make them social videos and even full on highlight edits. It is so fun and the still shot one does basically the same magic as the video does!
