Perfect for kids

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were tired of our kids always taking over the dot in our living room to play music so when we saw this kids version, we knew it was just what we needed. It works every bit as well as the adult version but comes in an adorable design perfect for kids. We love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our granddaughters an echo dot for kids a couple years ago and she loves it so we decided to get a newer one for their room here at our house. You get 1 year of amazon kids included which I appreciate. It has a very easy to use parent dashboard (even easy to use for grandparents) I can set daily time limits and filter what they use and see, you can also set up to 4 kid profiles up so that it is truly tailored for each one and heir age. There really are endless possibilities with this. Our older granddaughter (she is 8) likes to set an alarm to wake up to. She also uses it when she needs a little help with her homework. Our younger granddaughter is learning to use it (she is 3) she likes to ask Alexa to read her a bedtime story. She also loves telling Alexa she wants to have a dance party lol. The girls also love the fact they can ask Alexa to call their mom or dad whenever they want when they are here. They also use the one at home to call me and gpa when they are there. Just over all I think its a wonderful device to have, I wish we would have had it when my 3 were growing up!

Fun for the kids

The kids love it as they can ask alexa questions, have it play music, have it control our lights and many other things. They were so excited to see the little blue owl when they opened the box and wanted to immediately set it up in their bedroom. My wife and I love the parental controls and how safe we can make it.

Endless fun - music, stories, games, questions!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is adorable and so much fun!! It was very easy and fast to set up and our kids absolutely love it. They have so many options of things they can do. They love asking Alexa to play a game, tell them a joke, have a dance party, or to tell them stories. Some favorites: “The Floor is Lava” and “Freeze Dance”. Alexa will endlessly answer their questions in a kid-friendly and age appropriate way. We use the timers all the time and it is very convenient. Music sounds great on this little speaker and the kids (ages 6 and 8) are able to use it on their own immediately. This has been a huge hit at our house and has given our kids some independence while still under parental controls and filters. You can set daily time limits and the parent dashboard is very user friendly. We are getting a second one for upstairs for them!

Cute, Fun, and Helpful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children absolutely love their new Echo Dot Kids (5th Generation), they were so excited and curious the moment I unboxed it for them. We absolutely love the design of the owl, it’s cute and standout in our breakfast/play area.
We love having the Echo Dot because it allows our kids to have a sense of independence (ages 3 and 5), they love being able to command Alexa with all kinds of requests such as, playing music, checking the weather, setting timers, asking questions, playing games, making silly sounds, and etc.
We no longer need to set timers as our little helpers love to help set them for us! It’s a great way to allow our kids explore and expand their knowledge. This has also been great for our kids specifically as it helps encourage them to practice their English (bi-lingual family and English is not their primary language).
Another plus, it seems that the hardware is the same as all the other Echo Dots, so you’re not really getting less. You’re actually getting more as the Echo Dot Kids includes a year of premium content from Amazon Kids+. What’s not to love?!
Setup was quick and simple, just plug and play and follow the steps once you download the app. I personally like that the app allows you to customize settings on the parent dashboard; you can customize time limits, certain content, adjust age filter, and etc.
Overall, it’s been a positive experience with our Echo and the kids are loving it so we couldn’t be any happier with it! If you are looking to add a digital assistance device in your home and you have kids, you certainly can’t go wrong with an Echo Dot Kids, it’s simple and easy to use and fun and helpful all at the same time.

They ask the Alexa to play music, ask questions, tell jokes and even at bedtime tell them a story. They love it so much. If you're on the fence about whether or not to get one for your kids, do it. We love ours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this Echo Dot for my daughter. She loves to listen to her kids music while playing in her room. She is able to ask Alexa for what she wants, and being able to set up parental controls for safety is a must. She really likes the little gams she can play, as well. I think this is a great tool for a little one to take some (limited) control of her very own Alexa.
