[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product was super easy to install and synchronized instantly to my playstation 5. The functionality is beyond up to par. Have not had a single issue at all in the years that I've owned it. Processes at the perfect speeds, no lagging or hesitation. No issues with the heat synchronized. System runs smooth and throughput is phenomenal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the 9100 4tb for quite some time now in my main gaming rig. It has allowed me to download and load up games pretty much instantly even with my average internet speeds. After its loaded onto the ssd load times are near instant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Samsung 9100 PRO 1TB with the heatsink for a while now, and it's one of the best drives I've owned. It's a PCIe 5.0 drive, and the speeds are fantastic. Sequential reads sit in the 14,000 MB/s range, installs and big file transfers finish almost before I've looked away, and games and apps load noticeably quickly. The heatsink was installed out of the box, which made setup easy: slide it into the M.2 slot, screw it down, done. It also stays stable under sustained transfers without throttling, which isn't a given with Gen5 drives.
Samsung's reliability track record and software add to the appeal. Samsung Magician makes it easy to check drive health and update firmware, and the warranty is five years. Efficiency has also improved compared with some other Gen5 drives, which tend to be power-hungry.
It isn't perfect. Gen5 drives run warm, and even with the heatsink you'll want some airflow in your case. The price is also a premium over Gen4 drives like the 990 PRO, and in everyday use (browsing, gaming, office work) you'll struggle to feel the difference. The extra speed matters most for heavy workloads like video editing, large datasets, or big file transfers. Also, check that the heatsink clears your motherboard's M.2 cover or GPU before buying, since it adds some height.
Verdict: If you want top-tier performance and have a Gen5 slot, this is an excellent pick. If you're on a budget or just doing everyday tasks, a Gen4 drive will serve you nearly as well for less.

Huge upgrade
on October 4, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 9100 PRO w/ Heatsink 2 TB SSD NVMe™ M.2 is an absolute game-changer and easily one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my setup! The performance is nothing short of incredible. Read and write speeds are blisteringly fast, meaning massive file transfers, game installs, and heavy asset downloads finish in a flash. Uploading huge project files and video footage takes seconds where it used to take minutes.
It integrated completely seamlessly with my PC right out of the box. Installation was a breeze, windows booted instantly, and every application opens without a moment of lag. Plus, the built-in heatsink keeps thermals remarkably low even under heavy gaming and sustained workloads, preventing thermal throttling entirely. If you want top-tier speed, heavy-duty storage, and rock-solid reliability, this drive is an amazing product and worth every penny!
