Installs and Operates as expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a 2-star Whirlpool Custom Panel dishwasher after 12 years of tolerance. Many friends and family recommended Bosch despite the higher prices relative to other brands. The installation was straightforward, but the door panel installation was frustrating. A large paper template was provide. Instructions about marking the screw hole location were confusing at best. I got it very wrong the first time. Fortunately, I was able to correct installation without damage to the panel. Once installed, I had to trim the kick panel below the dishwasher due to interference with the door. Easy, but never mentioned in the instructions. Otherwise, the dishwasher started right up and dishes come out clean. Following experiences with past dishwashers, I always run on the "heavy" setting. Fortunately this Bosch dishwasher remembers my favorite settings. Unfortunately additional settings can only be set via an app. Another freakin app that I will use rarely. Boo, Bosch and everyone else who thinks applicance need to be connected to the internet. So there you have it. A very good dishwasher (so far) with a less-than perfect installation and a frustrating app requirement.
