[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it shortly after buzzing my head, needed to go over a few times but after that it was pretty smooth. Included rinsing cup made cleanup a breeze. Will use pretty often

Great Razor With Great Results!
on September 4, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great shaver! I charged it overnight and used it for an entire shave and no issues with battery life. It was nice that it cut cleanly (I used it dry) and no hair pulling! I like that it came with a blade cover and bag to protect it from humidity and other dust. It comes with a small brush, but didn’t have a reason to use it yet. I consider it at an “at or below” normal noise level, but I expect noise when shaving with a powered device. I also find the grip to be ergonomical and easy to maintain control. Overall, it’s a great product and would recommend it!

Great for sensitive skin
on September 3, 2025
Posted by: floyd2386_652
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been on the lookout for a head shaver that won't angry up my skin and was happy to give the Philips Norelco Head Pro my attention. I've now had a chance to put it through its paces with both wet and dry shaves, and I'm very impressed.
Initial Impressions & Design
The shaver arrived nicely packaged and with no charge, which was a little unusual but not a deal-breaker. The physical design of the shaver is great—it feels nice in the hand and is comfortable to hold, though I wish it had a bit more meaningful traction. The protective cap is a thoughtful touch and has vent holes, which is great for hygiene. A minor point of confusion was the instruction manual, which uses a large fold open style and has small print, making it a bit difficult to follow. I was also initially unsure if it was wet-shave capable, as it's not apparent on the box, but I can confirm that it is. For safety, it will not work when plugged in.
Performance & Shaving Experience
The standout feature for me is the articulation between the head and the neck of the shaver. This flexibility is a game-changer, especially for navigating around tricky areas like moles, and it provided a very comfortable, nearly irritation-free shave on my neck. I found that I lost some of this helpful articulation when using a between-finger grip, so I stuck to a more standard grip for the best results.
Here's a breakdown of my shaving experiences:
Shave 1 (Wet with Manscaped gel): This went very smoothly. The shaver glided nicely, and the articulation was excellent for getting around moles without any immediate irritation.
Shaves 2 & 3 (Dry): These were surprisingly good. The heads feel gentle and not at all rough on the skin, and they still managed to go over moles without causing irritation.
Shave 4 (Wet in the shower): The shaver is very slick to hold when your hands are wet with gel or soap. I found it necessary to either rinse my hands and the shaver or use a between-finger grip to maintain control. The shave itself was still great.
Shave 5 (Wet with shave soap): Another nice, smooth shave.
Shave 6 (Dry on neck): I specifically tested this on my neck, and there was no immediate irritation, which is a big win for someone with sensitive skin.
Battery Life & Charging
The battery performance is solid. A quick 5-minute charge provided 10 minutes and 50 seconds of runtime, while a 1-minute quick charge gave me 2 minutes and 53 seconds—perfect for a last-minute touch-up. The shaver charged from completely dead to full in about 55 minutes, which is quite fast. My runtime test showed that the low battery flash at 2:10 was followed by it dying at 2:14. One thing to note is the proprietary Philips cable (USB-A on the other end), which I'm not a fan of, as I prefer the universality of USB-C. However, it seems to be the same cable as the Philips OneBlade.
Maintenance
The included rinse stand is a useful accessory. I used it after doing a standard rinse of the open head under the faucet. Running the shaver in the stand for a minute revealed small hair clumps in the water, confirming that it’s a worthwhile step to use periodically for a more thorough cleaning.
Final Verdict
Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the Philips Norelco Head Pro. It has proven to be a reliable and comfortable shaver, especially for someone with sensitive skin like me. The fantastic articulation and gentle heads make for a close shave without the usual irritation. I would highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shaver is impressive!. Very low noise level when running and the precision is on point. Very smooth shave. Has a little heft to it so its very durable. Battery life seems to be great only charged 1 time and its still going strong. Cleaning is a breeze as well would recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love the ergonomic grip and wish this had a trimmer blade to change out for my short hair. I don't go fully bare in the head but I used it on my shoulders and this thing got SUPER close for a smooth shave. I'm sure it would be amazing for bald/baldish/balding guys.

Great for that bald guy in your life!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a quality razor that can be used in the shower. It gives a close shave on your head. Not as close as a real razor but I have not found a head shaver yet that can do that. It is not very noisy and seems to last a decent amount on a charge. It is rechargeable. The only negative I have is that it dies not give you a % of battery life so you don’t know when the battery will die which could leave you stranded mid shave. A good quality product you would expect from Norelco at a price point lower than a lot of the other electric head shavers out there. Easy to clean in the shower by just popping the heads off and running under water.

Easy to use, close dry shave!
on September 2, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had started shaving my head using an electric razor, but this dedicated head shaver is a game changer! I've been using this for around a month now and have seen great results. It provides a close shave and it is so easy to use. I have used it both dry and wet and find that using it dry is the way to go. While dry, it is easy to open it up and shake out loose hair and carry on, but while wet, it clumps together and requires disassembly and reassembly.
For best results, your hair should already be short (less than 2mm) and you should use the shaver frequently. If your hair is longer than a buzz, you'll not have great results or have to shake out hair multiple times while using it. I find that this isn't a substitute for your traditional electric razor, but enhances it. If you have a beard like me, you will likely need to use the electric razor to ensure your hair does not look wild around the temple area.
The battery life is very good. It has never died on me while using it and it is quick to charge. The noise level is fair. It's not quiet, but not loud. Imagine the noise level of an electric toothbrush.
Overall, I will continue to use it and enjoy my shaved head!

Never going back

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical at first but after a few uses I was a believer. When I first used it my hair was a little longer but after the first cut the use was a breeze! It was easy to clean and I have g had to recharge it yet. Easy to use in the shower, I recommend using a shaving lotion.
