Incredible

I love this bag. I just took it on 2 trips. The way the bag holds packing cubes efficiently and has space for a laptop, phone, and keys while going through security is great. The bag roles smoothly and easily. Is easy to pick up from any side while navigating steps or cars. Bottomline... worth it. Well engineered and well made.

Designed by Photographers FOR Photographers

I backed this at Kickstarter and it immediately became my favorite carry on. As an avid photography enthusiast, I travel with 3-4 film cameras (mostly medium format) and my Hasselblad x2d. Having a luggage that was so obviously well developed & thoughtfully designed by photographers is something that is 100% evident in the Roller Pro. Even the security at the airport said my carry on was cool hahaha

Easy to travel with and roll
on January 14, 2026

I've had many different roller bags from the big luggage names, but none of them have traveled as easily as this one. The wheels are amazingly smooth and easily turn in different directions. Even if the bag is heavily weighted down with camera gear, it rolls and turns very easily, making travel and navigating crowded areas much easier than bags with wheels that roll less well when heavily weighted.
That alone makes so much of a difference in ease of travel!

I got my Roller Pro via the campaign on Kickstarter. It is really well made and very functional. It really moves like a charm over nearly any surface including cobble stones. Only down side: it could be slightly larger, not much, but just a little extra would be great for me.

Perfect Carry On size and quality parts.

I took my new Roller Pro on its first international flight in February, and it worked great. The luggage fit perfectly in the overhead bag compartment, it rolled around very easily even with my backpack sitting on top, and it fit all of the clothes I was going to need for my trip.

Not for Seasoned Business Travelers
on February 11, 2026

I wanted to love the Peak Design Roller Pro. And in many ways, I do.
The build quality is excellent. Materials feel premium. The engineering is thoughtful and clearly intentional. You can tell this wasn’t rushed to market — someone obsessed over the details.
That said, as someone who’s been traveling for business for more than three decades — and who lives out of a carry-on most weeks — it ultimately didn’t deliver on usable space the way I’d hoped.
Yes, there’s smart internal structuring. But to maximize capacity, you almost have to use packing cubes. If you love cubes, this may be a non-issue. I don’t. I prefer flexibility and the ability to adjust on the fly. Without cubes, the interior organization actually works against you a bit.
The laptop sleeve is where it really lost me. I don’t know a single heavy business traveler who stores their laptop inside their roller. It lives in a backpack or briefcase for airport access, meetings, lounges, and security. That dedicated sleeve takes up valuable real estate that could have been repurposed for expandable storage or a more flexible interior layout.
In short: beautifully built, impressively engineered, but not optimized for the way seasoned road warriors actually pack.
As much as I wanted this to be “the bag,” my Tumi still wins on practical capacity and real-world business travel usability.
Peak Design makes great gear. This just wasn’t it for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
