Near Perfect Barista Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The DeLonghi Dedica Duo espresso maker is superior kitchen tech for the work-from-home generation.
As both a coffee and espresso aficionado, my husband replaced his previous espresso maker for this one after using it for only one brew.
For coffee drinks, the machine offers 3 options: single espresso, double espresso and express cold brew. There is also a steam option with the rotating spout for milk or frothed drinks.
The tamper and filter equipment is made of professional-looking polished stainless steel.
The machine is compact and sleek looking for a small counter footprint without adding excess clutter to the kitchen space.
There is no carafe and you are limited to a regular sized coffee cup for brewing into, however you can adjust the amount of water delivered, and the quick operating time means that it can be ran multiple times in a row with minimal downtime. Equipment cools quickly for easy disassembly and cleaning.
The machine uses a drip drop process for brewing instead of a fast burst of hot water. It runs unbelievably fast and easy to clean.
Espresso takes less than a minute to brew and cold brew is about 5. For cold brew, the process doesn’t entirely remove the acidity the way the long steep or store bought options offer, but it is still impressive for the time that it takes to brew.
A few tips
The machine recommends replacing the water in the canister every 3 days. Empty it out after each use and allow to air dry to prevent mildew.
Use only filtered water
Tamp the grounds down tight; but not too hard. The twin notches should be visible after filling the filter.
For a cafe americano, a double espresso is optimal; top with hot water. Almost identical to Starbucks if your grounds are high quality.
This is an espresso machine so it doesn’t have the tech of a standard coffee maker (with a clock or programmable function), but the simplicity is what makes it so good. 1 button for power, and 4 total options for brewing. The guide offers insights into optimizing settings to fit your preferences, but honestly the default is great for someone who appreciates a good espresso simply for what it is.

Great espresso machine with amazing flavor!

Thank you DeLonghi and Influenster for allowing me to review it; it has the best pressure allowing for optimal flavor. I enjoyed getting to know the machine before using and I must say that cleaning it isn’t too hard for the best flavor at home. They provide a one cup or two cup serving and the milk frother is great just make sure not to add too much milk. I can’t wait to try different espresso beans in this and play with recipes.

Delonghi espresso

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Been using it for about two weeks now and honestly I wasn’t an espresso person until now.
I learned slowly how to make a great coffee with this machine. Absolutely no noise besides when you do cold brew. That setting takes a bit longer but during summer will come handy. Setting up was a bit difficult, I was confused at first how to do it but a good reading and everything went smoothly.
I highly recommend this machine and absolutely in love with mine.

Amazing coffee taste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am obsessed with my new espresso machine!! It is so easy to use and is so efficient and quick! I can make myself a Starbucks quality drink in less than 5 minutes. I seriously cannot believe the quality of this machine. I love how little space it takes up as well. One thing I do wish is that it had a built in grinder but no worries. I enjoy how little space this machine takes up and how easy it is to clean. I’m not sure how I will ever get back to drinking regular coffee after this amazing machine.

Perfect size

I also love the fact that you have so many options. You can make a double espresso. A single espresso. Even iced. I am obsessed. It even has the little attachment for the milk. Obsessed. Obsessed. Obsessed. So easy to use so easy to clean and so compact. It looks amazing on my countertop.
