Try Again…great idea

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the compact size of it and marketing for a consumer like that is great!
The portafilter 'should' be pointed straight at the camera to fully attach. It should also get there wouldn't a lot of force. It was so tight enough I needed to brace the full machine to get it there (which obviously isn't the goal and you run the risk of breaking components).
It's on the machine after a roughly 40 degree turn in the photo (instructions and machine specify the 90 degree turn to attach). This is where the clamping starts to feel tight. Typically, once it feels tight you stop and should be safe to use it. Twice at this point I attempted to brew and both times it dropped out of the machine mid pour. A thing to note is that it's very odd there's no Guage for pressure which is fairly customary for all the units I've used (our family owned resturaunts so I've used these machines most of my life). Not a big thing if you have an idea for timing but someone new to it may not love that. The frother is the loudest piece of equipment I've ever heard in a kitchen- it's literally ear piercing. Because the machine is small it does take a bit longer to froth so we are talking 4 minutes of ears ringing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just wow! This espresso machine is packed with features in a tiny footprint! Even someone with a small kitchen can have high-quality espresso at home! The machine is easy to use, and the espresso tastes great. You can make 2 cups at once for convenience, and it even has a milk frother tool that you can use to draw designs in the foam like in high-end cafes. This machine is top tier and will be very frequently used in my home!

great easy to use space-saving espresso machine

I typically have lattes in the morning so this machine is perfect for that- very quick to heat up and provides delicious espresso. I do recommend getting a bottomless portafilter so you can see if your grind size, grams, etc is ideal and not channeling. Tamper is heavy is nice to hold as well! Milk froths easily, needs some practice to get the perfect consistency but the upgraded milk wand from the previous model is definitely a plus- it’s very easy to clean (especially with the tool delonghi provides). I don’t drink cold brew so can’t comment on that but otherwise it’s a great little espresso machine! No issues so far :) steam power might be slightly weak but I don’t have other machines to compare it to at the moment. Also be sure you use fresh beans and a good grinder (I have a manual burr grinder, for now, that grinds great just more time consuming)

No more regular coffee: Espresso forever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I will explain me: I am someone who has only made Keurig and regular coffee pot coffee. I never knew the difference between regular coffee, espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc. but I love getting yummy coffees. Until I realized how expensive it was getting.
My sister makes her own coffees and I’m always so impressed with what she makes with her machine.
Now I have this and I have to say, I will never go back to regular coffee pots. This is faster than a regular pot of coffee. It’s delicious. It’s easy to use. I had a SMALL learning curve on how to make a cup of good coffee with this, but the directions are easy and straight forward. It’s fast and delicious, easy to use, easy to clean, doesn’t take up a lot of space (same size as my Keurig), and attractive.
I am so happy with this machine and now that I use it every morning, it’s super easy to use. Straight forward. The display is beautiful as well with the photos of the drink type (cold, espresso, double espresso, steam).
The attachments are nice quality also. The extra press is metal, heavy and great quality. The plastic scoops is also of great quality, not flimsy, durable, and stands in its own. The two espresso holders are durable and the scoop quantity fits perfectly in each.
Overall super happy. 6 out of 5 stars.

A good entry machine for those looking to make esp

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice machine, especially for those that are new to making espresso at home. It’s a pressurized basket which is more beginner friendly, but may frustrate more experienced users looking to really dial in their shots. Obviously pairing this machine with a good grinder will yield the best results, but even with pre ground coffee, this will make a decent espresso shot. Cold brew function is a nice option.
A couple of things we have noticed over using this machine for a few weeks. We don’t like the touch screen type buttons on the top of the machine. It’s easy to accidentally brush your hand on them when using the portafilter causing hot water to instantly come out. I guess older dedica models had actual haptic buttons, so this is a disappointing change.
The other disappointment is the steam wand is pretty weak. It takes forever to get the milk frothing and it just doesn’t have enough pressure, so it takes double or triple the time it should.
Overall it’s a decent entry level machine that is fully capable of making excellent espresso with few small quirks. Depending on how you enjoy your espresso, these may or may not be an issue for you.

Great addition to our morning routine!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have absolutely loved this espresso machine! Previously we used an espresso machine with the pods and this one feels so much more professional. You also can use whatever coffee you want now which is a great improvement. We love making americanos so having the hot water spout has been a game changer — we like this to make tea as well. I also use the milk frother for matcha lattes. This can make espressos, cold brew, and any variety of espresso-based drinks. Highly recommend! The only downside is the steamer is quite noisy. However, it sounds like you’re at the coffee shop so it doesn’t bother us too badly.
