Performs well but not efficient power on time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall performance has been good. My only complaint is the power button tome requirement to start the machine. Every load. You stand and hold and hold and hold. I read online it is so you don’t accidentally turn it on. What!? Lordy it adds so much time to laundry day.

Maytag Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I rated the dryer 4 stars. This is why. I have a Maytag washer and dryer now. My only complaint is the control panel. Many instances when I push a control button it does not function. It is like one has to get in just the spot on the button for it to work. This is for both the washer and dryer, which bot are brand new. Other than that issue we are very happy with the appliances.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the machine but what I don't like is having to redo all the settings every load. I also don't like having to hold the button down to get the machine to turn on. When I push the button, it should turn on, and I should not have to wait for it.

Love the dryer except....no steam option

My wife and I bought this dryer after the original one we purchased had its accompanying washer discontinued (MTW7232HC/MED7230HC). This appeared to be the newer model of this washer/dryer set so we ordered it. So far it is working very well. Our only issue is that we thought this dryer had a steam option and the features shown on Maytag's website were "Wrinkle Prevent Option with Steam" - "With the Wrinkle Prevent option with Steam, the dryer tumbles your clothes for up to 150 minutes after the cycle has ended to keep wrinkles at bay.". While there is a wrinkle prevention option, there is no ability for a water/steam hookup on this model. Is it that big of a deal for our normal usage - probably not but the feature is misleading especially since the original dryer that we had ordered did have steam. That is the reason for the 4 star rating compared to a 5 star rating.
As far as appearance, we do like the current silver finish which is more of a matte like finish compared to the metallic (shiny) finish of the discontinued model.
