What can I say? It works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer replaced a 27-year-old Maytag. The old washer worked fine. The reason for replacement was its' age.
It is going to take some getting used to how the new washer works. The clothes come out clean and the spin cycle removes most of the water, shortening the drying time.
The total wash/rinse time seems a little long. Not much of an issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My washer is quite new so I don't have a lot of experience with It However it seems to be functioning Quite well I do miss having a Detergent dispenser Which makes it easier to measure the detergent and And apply it Without having to pour it over the laundry or estimate how big the laundry will be in advance I believe All the features I have are adequate I am not I cannot think of Any Additional features that are needed OK
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great new Maytag washer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new washer is a big and needed improvement over our previous, 9 1/2 year old Maytag Centennial which required numerous repairs, many done by me. We haven't had this washer long enough to speak in detail about it, but are also pleased with the many options.

Features do not work like they are supposed to.

This is the worst Maytag product I have ever owned. This washing machine has more issues than it is worth. It does not spin and drain when needed, now the lid will not lock but it fills with water and drains. I have unplugged it and it still doesn't work. Maytag needs to go back to the old machines with, Xlg, lg, med. small cycles along with soak knobs. These new ones really suck. I paid a lot of money for a machine to waste my water, my time and my money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Below are few possible solutions:
Does the Washer Fill Continuously?
The Drain hose should not extend more than 4.5" (113 mm) into the drainpipe.
The drain hose may be too far down inside the drainpipe (standpipe) or laundry tub. If the drain hose extends too far, drained water can siphon back into the washer. Using the U-shape drain hose form (as described in the Installation Instructions) will provide the correct length of drain hose in the drainpipe or laundry tub.
Is the Drain installed correctly?
Do not seal the drain hose into the drainpipe with tape. The drain hose should be loose yet secure. A gap between the drain hose and the drain pipe must exist to allow airflow. The air gap will break the suction. This will prevent water from continuously being sucked out of the machine (siphoning) as it fills.
Is the Drainpipe (standpipe) less than the minimum height of 30"?
Check that the top of the drain is at least 30" (76.2 cm) high (as measured from the floor.) If the drain is below 30" (76.2 cm), the water will start to flow out of the machine due to gravity. The flow of water can create suction (siphon) and the water will continue to drain out of the washer.

Very good washer

Place a load of sorted items loosely in the washer. Items need to move freely for the best cleaning, to reduce wrinkling, and to remove pet hair. You may need to reduce your load size. Avoid tightly packing the washer. The washer will not rinse thoroughly or spin correctly if tightly packed.

Filtering sucks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have Only used this washer twice so far. First time was fine. The second time I must have left a peice of paper in a pocket. The washer's filtering system for such items sucks. There was minimal pieces in the filter the rest ended up all over the washload. Definately check ALL the pockets for foreign materials. The filtering system sucks.
