Is the dryer overloaded?
For best results clothes should be able to move freely and shouldn't be tightly packed in the dryer. Overloading the dryer could cause the dryer door not to latch.
Is there anything blocking the latch?
Ensure the door latch is not blocked. Ensure all packing and/or shipping material has been removed, and no clothing is blocking the latch.
Is the dryer level?
All four dryer feet should be in firm contact with the floor. If not level, automatic sensor cycles may not operate correctly, and clothes may not tumble properly, causing the door to not properly close. Learn how to use your phone to level household appliances.

Love the extra dog hair settings!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love our Maytag Vmax five series dryer. With this day and age a lot of these electronics and appliances are coming out with too many bells and whistles. This just means there’s more ways that your appliance can go wrong and not work spontaneously. We love that this still has some bells and whistles, but keeps it easy with buttons no connecting to Wi-Fi that needs to get hacked, etc. it dries effortlessly and there is settings to make your temperature, low medium or hot. They’re also has some settings for a dog hair if that applies to your family, which is really nice. Overall, we love our dryer.

Terrible Dryer

Terrible dryers. I have to run 3 cycles and they still come out temp it doesn’t matter the temperature or how long I run it for it can’t seem to get the job done. No it’s not cause loads are too big either if had a load with only a few items and still can’t dry worth a crap. Bought a speed queen and now I have no issues. Stay away from this dryer and stick to a speed queen.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dryer works really well! Pukls most dog hair into screen filter. Many options for settings give you ability to dryvarious sized loads with many varied items. My favorite setting is the reduced static! It works excellent! Wrinkle free works well, too but turns on the dryer multiple times to keep it wrinkle free until you hit done or open the door. (I woke us up in the night).
The only issue I've had is closing the door. It must be slammed shut. But every other thing works perfectly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice machine but no users manual. When I wait 15 years to upgrade- I have forgotten if I ever knew what grand features a washing macnine has.. A users guide explaining the new features would be useful. Also approx how long do the cycles last ie. duration? I would assume different from machine 15 years older..
