[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and the screen started shorting out just two weeks in. Contacted support, sent a technician but he said no part could be found it’s been 2 weeks now and Maytag has not even reached out to check status. Disappointed still waiting for a fix.

Many Features-Reliability Concerns
on November 26, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine is a warranty replacement of a similar 10 year old machine deemed unfixable. 10 months ago, major repairs had to be performed. The replacement operates and sounds similar to the older model and at times sounds clunky. After several loads it appears to do a satisfactory job cleaning the cloths. The larger tub is also a plus. Overall material quality appears less than previous machine. Not very optimistic that this machine will hold up for 10 years reliability is a major concern.

Very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very disappointed in this machine. It is leaving lint dust looking stuff all over our clothes. We hardly use any detergent and use the deep fill to give it a good rinse. The samsung we had before this machine didn't do this. And we had our water checked and it is good. Did this from the very first load we put in your machine. Not happy at all. With the money we spent and now stuck with this!!!!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We regret that you are having these concerns with your Washer. Lint, the small fibers clinging to clothes, is a common laundry problem. Identifying the cause is key to a lint-free wardrobe. Did you line-dry a load of laundry? Cause: Bypassing the dryer's lint removal. Air/line-drying leaves loose fibers on clothes. Solution: Tumble dry garments in a dryer for a brief, no-heat cycle (10 mins) solely to collect lint, or use a lint roller. Were you washing a large load? Cause: Restricted movement. Overloading prevents proper agitation, rinsing, and lint removal, causing detached lint to redeposit. Solution: Reduce load size. Fill the drum no more than three-quarters full to allow clothes to tumble freely. Was tissue or paper left in pockets? Cause: Foreign material breakdown. Paper items dissolve, creating fibrous residue that strongly adheres to fabric. Solution: Always check and turn all pockets inside out before starting every load. Were there new clothing items in the load of laundry? Cause: Initial fiber shedding. New items (cotton, fleece, towels) release excess fibers from manufacturing in the first few washes. Solution: Wash new clothing separately for the first 2-3 cycles. Wash new items inside out to trap most shedding fibers. Was the load properly sorted? Cause: Mixing lint-givers (towels, flannel, heavy cottons) with lint-takers (polyester, synthetics, knits). Fibers shed by "givers" are trapped by "takers." Solution: Separate laundry by color and fabric type. Always wash lint-giving items (towels, blankets) entirely separately from synthetic/knit clothing (lint-takers). Use the "delicate" cycle for lint-takers to reduce friction. Junk, stay away!

This is by far the biggest piece of junk I ever bought. God forbid you want to wash a sweater or sweatshirt. Throws error codes. I spend 30 minutes moving articles of clothing around just to keep the error codes from happening. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER!!!

Hello, We value your time and would like to look into the concerns with your Washer. Excessive vibration or an "out-of-balance" load, common during high-speed spin cycles, causes noise, movement, and negatively impacts washer performance and longevity. The Primary Cause: Unbalanced Load The main source of vibration is uneven laundry distribution. When the load's weight is not centered, the resulting centrifugal force causes: Loud Vibration/Noise: Excessive shaking or thumping. Reduced Spin Speed: Control systems lower speed to protect the machine, resulting in wetter clothes. Longer Cycles: Machine pauses/restarts to attempt load correction. Decreased Performance: Stress on internal components over time. Signs of Unbalance: Loud thumping/clanking, violent shaking or "walking," wet clothes after the cycle, or spin cycle interruption. Washer Self-Correction: Modern washers detect imbalance, add water, gently tumble the load for redistribution, and re-attempt the spin. If unsuccessful after attempts, the cycle terminates, requiring manual redistribution. Preventing Imbalance: Loading and Items Best Loading Practice: Place clothing in loose, evenly distributed heaps around the basket's perimeter. Avoid dumping items in one corner. Heavy/Bulky Items: Large, absorbent items (blankets, rugs) increase vibration risk. Check Labels: Ensure items are suitable for the washer type. "Doughnut" Method: Distribute single, heavy items in a ring shape around the impeller/agitator to center the load. Avoid Single Items: Wash two or three similar, heavy items together for better balancing. Never Overload: Load loosely; clothes should not exceed the top row of holes. Foundational Fix: Ensure Leveling The washer must be perfectly level with all four feet firmly on the floor. Check: Gently rock the washer diagonally; if it moves, it needs adjustment. Consequence: Uneven leveling amplifies minor load imbalances, leading to excessive noise and spin failure. Drain Pan: Ensure leveling legs are adjusted to sit securely and level within the pan. defective does not spin after wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is a replacement of similar washer that was defective due to it not doing a final spin after a regular wash cycle. Well, right after installation, on the first wash on new washer, it happened again. After the regular wash cycle, it does not do a final spin after wash to drain clothes. I read the entire manual to make sure I completed every step on the wash cycle to make sure I did everything right. I have received a defective replacement with the same problems as the previous washer. Will never buy this brand again. Now we are waiting for this replacement to be repaired. I also have to push the power button repeatedly to turn it on, as it does not turn on immediately after pushing the power button. There is also a strong odor of fumes or oil-like smell coming out of the machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great marketing by Maytag! I fell for the pet hair catching system. Definitely doesn’t do anything more than a normal washer except cost more! Quite a bit more!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We regret that you are having these concerns with your Washer. If the Pet Pro Filter is not effectively removing pet hair, investigate these three areas: proper usage, load management, and filter maintenance. Washer Overloaded? (Load Size) Proper load size is critical for effective hair capture. Overloading prevents clothes from tumbling freely, which traps pet hair and reduces the filter's ability to circulate water and capture debris. Fill the tub no more than three-quarters full to allow for optimal movement. Wrong Cycles Used? (Cycle Selection) The Pet Pro Modifier must be selected to activate specialized hair-lifting technology. The Pet Pro Modifier, available on cycles like Normal/Regular, Heavy Duty, and Whites, engages specific water movement designed to loosen and direct hair to the filter. Without the modifier, the feature is not utilized. Cleaning Procedure: Remove trapped hair, then rinse the filter under water or wipe with a damp cloth.
