[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and the screen started shorting out just two weeks in. Contacted support, sent a technician but he said no part could be found it’s been 2 weeks now and Maytag has not even reached out to check status. Disappointed still waiting for a fix.

This is by far the biggest piece of junk I ever bought. God forbid you want to wash a sweater or sweatshirt. Throws error codes. I spend 30 minutes moving articles of clothing around just to keep the error codes from happening. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER!!!

Hello, We value your time and would like to look into the concerns with your Washer. Excessive vibration or an "out-of-balance" load, common during high-speed spin cycles, causes noise, movement, and negatively impacts washer performance and longevity. The Primary Cause: Unbalanced Load The main source of vibration is uneven laundry distribution. When the load's weight is not centered, the resulting centrifugal force causes: Loud Vibration/Noise: Excessive shaking or thumping. Reduced Spin Speed: Control systems lower speed to protect the machine, resulting in wetter clothes. Longer Cycles: Machine pauses/restarts to attempt load correction. Decreased Performance: Stress on internal components over time. Signs of Unbalance: Loud thumping/clanking, violent shaking or "walking," wet clothes after the cycle, or spin cycle interruption. Washer Self-Correction: Modern washers detect imbalance, add water, gently tumble the load for redistribution, and re-attempt the spin. If unsuccessful after attempts, the cycle terminates, requiring manual redistribution. Preventing Imbalance: Loading and Items Best Loading Practice: Place clothing in loose, evenly distributed heaps around the basket's perimeter. Avoid dumping items in one corner. Heavy/Bulky Items: Large, absorbent items (blankets, rugs) increase vibration risk. Check Labels: Ensure items are suitable for the washer type. "Doughnut" Method: Distribute single, heavy items in a ring shape around the impeller/agitator to center the load. Avoid Single Items: Wash two or three similar, heavy items together for better balancing. Never Overload: Load loosely; clothes should not exceed the top row of holes. Foundational Fix: Ensure Leveling The washer must be perfectly level with all four feet firmly on the floor. Check: Gently rock the washer diagonally; if it moves, it needs adjustment. Consequence: Uneven leveling amplifies minor load imbalances, leading to excessive noise and spin failure. Drain Pan: Ensure leveling legs are adjusted to sit securely and level within the pan. defective does not spin after wash
on December 28, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is a replacement of similar washer that was defective due to it not doing a final spin after a regular wash cycle. Well, right after installation, on the first wash on new washer, it happened again. After the regular wash cycle, it does not do a final spin after wash to drain clothes. I read the entire manual to make sure I completed every step on the wash cycle to make sure I did everything right. I have received a defective replacement with the same problems as the previous washer. Will never buy this brand again. Now we are waiting for this replacement to be repaired. I also have to push the power button repeatedly to turn it on, as it does not turn on immediately after pushing the power button. There is also a strong odor of fumes or oil-like smell coming out of the machine.

Extremely loud!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely loud on spin cycles no matter a light load or heavy load. My LG was ultra quiet so very disappointed.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We regret that you are having these concerns with your Washer. Please review the following troubleshooting tips: Is the washer out of balance? Suppose the load is not evenly distributed in the basket when spinning begins. In that case, an “off-balance” load can create movement in the basket, resulting in noise, vibration, reduced spin speed, longer cycle times, and decreased washer performance. The error typically occurs during the spin part of the cycle, after the wash portion has completed.
Signs of an unbalanced load washer include loud noises during the spin cycle, excessive shaking, and clothes remaining wet after the cycle is complete. These indicators suggest that your laundry is not evenly distributed. In some instances, your washer may stop spinning if a significant imbalance is detected, requiring you to redistribute the load manually.
Are heavy or large items being washed? When washing large or heavy items, vibration and out-of-balance loads can occur. There are several things to consider for the best wash performance:
Always check the care label to ensure the item is machine washable in a top-load washer (some bulky items state to only wash in a front load commercial-style washer). For items that absorb a lot of water, such as quilts or cotton blankets, distribute the items around the wash basket in a doughnut shape around the impeller. It is not recommended to wash a single absorbent article. For example, do not wash one rug. Wash two or three to balance the load for a good spin. Similar items should be washed together. Make sure that the top of the impeller is visible. Never overload the washer. Clothes should be loosely added and only as high as the top row of holes in the wash basket. Do not add more water - there must be engagement of the impeller and the clothes. If there is too much water, the items will float, and the cleaning action will be less due to the design of the cycles.

Many Features-Reliability Concerns
on November 26, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washing machine is a warranty replacement of a similar 10 year old machine deemed unfixable. 10 months ago, major repairs had to be performed. The replacement operates and sounds similar to the older model and at times sounds clunky. After several loads it appears to do a satisfactory job cleaning the cloths. The larger tub is also a plus. Overall material quality appears less than previous machine. Not very optimistic that this machine will hold up for 10 years reliability is a major concern.

When it works w/o issues it washes as expected
on December 8, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this washer 3 weeks ago. The 1st 2 weeks this washer performed w/o any issues. 3rd week of using this washer after 6-7 loads of clothes I started getting a message regarding Power outage for the unit. It would not complete a wash cycle and I would notice the unit stopped midway through the wash cycle. Also at times the interface would reboot when I tried to configure settings for the wash. It's acting like a potential software update is needed because the interface is rebooting similar to how windows system on laptop/desktop would unexpectedly reboot. I did not expect issues with this unit in the 1st month much less 1st year of having this washer especially since it's a higher end unit
