Don’t buy

Worked great for a year. Got it for Christmas. Has a one year warranty… isn’t that convenient. Feels like it doesn’t read some coffee pods but reads others. I suspect it’s being phased out similar to how Apple try’s to phase out old models. It’s a hunk of junk now. Wish I never switched from Keurig.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Rarely works, needs replacement often.

When it works it's great; but unfortunately it rarely works. We run a cleaning cycle every Sunday, and still it constantly malfunctions. It'll stop working in the middle of pods, it'll stop working when it's reading a pod, it'll just stop sending water through the pod while the coffee is brewing, it'll get halfway through a pod and shut down, and then finally we left it alone for a week and it won't power back on. Second defective model we had. We spoke to folks at a local store and they said that they've heard lots of customer complaints about the Vertuo next not working properly and having lots of failures, so we'll work with them on an exchange to a different model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not buy this machine! First machine lasted like 8 months. Was sent a replacement that lasted 2 months. Joke of a machine!!

Works great!

So far I have had this Nespresso Machine for a whole year and it still functions perfectly as the first day I bought it. I bought for my husband a she is the big coffee drinker and he enjoys making his coffee in many ways including iced coffee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buy a different machine!

I am currently shopping for a new vertuo machine because I have so many pods left, and this machine broke on me. I got this machine a little over a year ago (just past the warranty) and it stopped brewing coffee. The light doesn't even turn on anymore when I plug it back in. I talked to the service people and they told me to descale it even though it does not even suck up water! I am unbelievable disappointed in Nespresso for still selling this machine since I hear so many people complaining about this machine. Save your money and get a different machine! This will barely last a year! I am not a person to overuse the machine either, I used it at most once a day and it still broke. For the money you pay for this machine, it should last more than a year. I have a 8 year old Keurig that is still running. Again I am so disappointed in Nespresso I truly loved this machine until it broke on me!

Coffee is great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was looking for a replacement for the keurig I got several years ago, it was tough due to the similar options available. The vertuo next is the maker I decided upon, and it has consistently exceeded my expectations. The only problem is that the coffee pods are not sold in stores. However, the quality is addictive.
Pros: Easy to Use, Does not take up too much room on my countertop, Makes Delicious Espresso Drinks (Cappuccino, Latte etc.)
Cons: Other

Horrible machine

After 3 months and a few coffee the deadly red light came and the machine just stoped working.... google it and you will see it happens sooner or later with this machine! Don't know how they keep selling it. NO troubleshooting will recover it!
