Stops working

We got this machine replaced TWICE in 5 months because it would stop brewing coffee. When you press the button it would heat up then show 2 orange blinks and then stop working. First I thoight I needed to descale it but that didn’t work. Nespresso customer service is great so they sent us a THIRD replacement but this time we asked them for a different machine so they sent us the Evuolo. Fingers crossed for that one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really miss my original Vertuo

I had my original Vertuo for 4 years and it was incredibly dependable: between my wife and I we average over 1,000 pods a year, and it had no issues until after 5,000ish brews. The tech couldn’t troubleshoot it over the phone, so we thought we’d replace it with the Next. What a mistake!
If I go more than two sleeves without running the cleaning cycle, I am guaranteed that the machine will not be able to brew a pod. So more or less every morning, I brew myself a coffee and then run a cleaning cycle. The descaling kit didn’t make a difference, this machine just accumulates build up. This was a hard earned lesson: I’ve probably lost at least 30 pods trying to brew, having the machine tell me it can’t read the pod, and then being unable to grab the pod when I open the lid. Between the lost pods and the 30 or so ounces of water I use to clean the machine every day, just incredibly wasteful.
Lastly, from a design perspective, the water on the back is a pain. The machine sticks way out from the wall. If you want a NESPRESSO machine get the Vertuo.

It is Working! Use the videos!

This is to update my review. LL Prairie Village, Ks….After reviewing all the videos and inviting 2 Nespresso owners/users in my complex, we have a working Nespresso VertuoNext. Lots of button pushing, flashing lights but it is making coffee. The videos are very helpful.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped working after 2 months

One day it just wouldn’t brew. I tried (and wasted) different coffee pods, factory reset, cleaning cycle, wasted a whole pouch of descaling solution and finally called customer service for troubleshooting. It was determined that the button is defective and wouldn’t respond to factory reset or any other functions. Luckily the customer service is great and i am being sent a replacement model of my choosing. Hoping the Evoluo model will work out better

Esthetically pleasing however not the best gadget

I am on my 4th machine, I had 2 faulty machines, my 3rd one lasted under a year and now I got it replaced again. I don’t know what the issue is but it stops working frequently, I’ve heard this from other users too. Often the pods don’t pour, I think because the machine isn’t processing. I’m not sure I’d recommend this to anyone. I have just ordered a different version on the machine, hopefully that one lasts.

1st machine worked fine for 3-4 months, then it broke. Second machine arrived as a replacement, did not last a week and broke again. Stay away for your sake

Unreliable

We got the machine as a wedding present, used it for 4 months before having to call Nespresso to help trouble shoot. It wouldn’t make coffee/crema and the grounds would be in the bottom of the cup. Even after going through a cleaning cycle it wouldn’t work, Nespresso replaced it. Fast forward 6 months, I was diligent about cleaning and descaling and it stops working one day with a continuous flashing light. Two support calls and it still won’t do anything just not responding. Thankfully Nespresso is replacing it with a completely different machine than the Next line and extending the warranty for me. I’ve heard such great things about Nespresso but this machine was highly disappointing but I’m glad they’re making it better the customer service is phenomenal.
