Works great until it doesn’t

Like other reviews have mentioned, it works great until it doesn’t. I first received this 2 years ago as a gift, and since then I have gone through 2 more replacements. Customer service was awesome about it! I just wish the machine didn’t quit giving out on me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

However, we are thrilled to learn you were able to speak to a Machine Expert, and your Vertuo Next has been replaced with a VertuoPlus. We recommend running a priming cycle once a week through your machine, to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. If you need assistance with your VertuoPlus, please do not hesitate to contact us through our toll-free number, 800-562-1465. Each machine comes with at least a one-year warranty and lifetime troubleshooting assistance Thanks!

Don’t but it!

I bought this machine a few years ago - a year in started to get an orange light - called support and they told me how to fix. Lasted 2 days and light came back. Never worked again. Threw it in the garbage. This is my second machine. First one was original and worked very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dead Machine

Very strange timing, but same experience as the another user stated. Yesterday the machine worked fine, today it is just suddenly dead. There is absolutely no troubleshooting help available, no hard reset, nothing that can be done. Other appliances plugged into the same breaker still work fine, so I don't believe it was a power surge or anything like that. I've owned 4-5 different Nespresso machines over the years, and this model seems to be the worst based on this experience and the overall reviews.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Disappointing when compared to the Vertuo Plus

Bought a Vertuo Plus about 4 years ago and have loved it! Decided to get a Vertuo Next. The Next is MUCH louder than the Plus, and the crema is not nearly as good when compared to what the Plus produced. With the Next, the crema dissipates within a minute or two. Very disappointed as one would think the next generation machine would be better. I should have purchased a Vertuo Plus again

Our first machine we received as a gift for Christmas in less than a year Later with very minimal use it completely quit working. But when it worked, it did a great job. Customer service was great and I was able to return it for a new one. I’ve had the new one for about two months and it’s already starting to act up. The Descaling process is very complicated Ut I’m going to try that this morning and see if that helps.

Didn't work, replacement didn't work

We ended up returning ours because of the constant problems. Felt bad returning it too, as this was a birthday gift from my wife. But this machine was having issues so frequently, probably more than 50% of the time.
Nespresso even sent us a replacement, which was great customer service, but the replacement had the same issues. The device would randomly just fail to make coffee, and none of the suggestions for resetting it or cleaning it ever permanently resolved the issues. You could clean it and it MIGHT make a coffee for you, but even then, the next coffee would fail. Occasionally, it would fail and then upon resetting (or whatever the term was) start spitting out hot water. It was a real headache, and while customer service offered to send us a second replacement (third unit), we decided we'd rather not deal with the hassle.

Do not buy

I bought this machine 4 days ago and have only been able to have 2 coffees. Machine gets an error that it is too hot on the first use. Called nespresso they walked me through a reset. Made one coffee after the reset then stopped again. They told me it was due either cleaning or descaling. Apparently new machines require scaling and or cleaning after first use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
