Delicious coffee. Terrible machine

I really want to love this machine, but it gets harder everyday. We are on our second machine now in just under a year. Nespresso replaced the first one after about six months because we kept getting errors that would not reset. Turns out you can't use the Starbucks Nespresso pods (that say Nespresso all over the box) because it will reset the sensors and just stop reading pods. On our second machine signed up for automatic delivery of Nespresso coffee. We still get random errors after two cups almost daily. They usually reset themselves after a few hours or if I unplug the machine, but at this point it's more trouble than it's worth. Our second delivery of pods was so badly damaged the machine couldn't read them, but Nespresso did send out replacements right away free of charge . Love the coffee, but at this point not worth the expense of the machine, the pods or my time.

We certainly want your Nespresso experience to be special and exactly to your satisfaction. We suggest when turning on your machine, allow your machine to warm up. The light will begin to pulse slowly for about 30 seconds, indicating the “warm-up” phase. Once the light is steady the machine is ready for use. Insert your Nespresso capsule, and ensure the lever is fully locked. The lever must go past the lock symbol and there should be a slight click sound when fully locked. For best maintenance for your Vertuo Next, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week. Nespresso offers a lifetime of troubleshooting support. The Worst of the Worst

Don’t be fooled by the new fancy rose-gold trimmings, it’s the same machine. It didn’t even last a year. It’s Nespresso’s worst machine yet. Wasted time and money trying to get it to work. Thankfully I had my old Nespresso Original machine, guess I’ll be reverting back to that one. It’s unfortunate, I really wanted to like this Vertuo machine for it’s coffee making options.

Constant Issues

I can only get 2 - 3 pods brewed before it starts flashing it's orange warning lights and won't work. Then I need to do cleaning cycles and wipe of components. Sometimes it takes 5-10 minutes of my time to make it work, other times it takes 15-30 minutes to make it work again. Such a disappointment, no consistency at all in its functionality.

Fed up

I bought this last year, I received a replacement in December 2021, hoping for different results. However I once again am tormented with the hassle of this machine not being able to work properly. I use filtered water, I have ensured a proper and consistent power supply and it still doesn’t help this machine. I’m so disappointed in what’s supposed to be the easiest part of my day is now tedious and disgusting

Unreliable

The coffee is fantastic but the machine often doesn’t work and I have to call Nespresso frequently and/or spend 20 min trying to get a cup of coffee. I’ve descaled it and reset it and it still has this issues. It started the first year of owning it. After a year and a half I mostly stopped using it because it shouldn’t take 20 min to get a cup of coffee.

Stopped working

We have had our machine for 1 year. I loved it until it stopped working. I have done the cleaning process and descaling process multiple times but it will no longer brew our coffee. The machine turns on, starts to make a noise, and then shuts off with an orange light. I had hoped to get more than 1 year use out of it.

Confirming other poor experiences.

I’m here to confirm that I too have had a poor experience with the VertuoNext. I loved the system out of the box and it delivers a great range of espressos and coffees. The downside is clearly the quality of the build in these devices. My first unit lasted 10 months and subsequently died after not being able to scan pods correctly anymore. Nespresso was great and got me free of charge exchange unit very quickly, but my second unit only lasted around 6 months before having the top rotating head get stuck. This time, Nespresso is replacing the unit again with a VertuoPlus. Hopefully this system will be better.

Terrible Machine

Machine was brewing ok coffee for 4 months, however after a little bit it started leaking water all over the table everytime I used it, all of the coffee from the start also turned out with coffee grounds in the bottom. Today I went to brew a cup of coffee and it was entirely unresponsive so I called support. I was on the phone for 50 minutes before they gave me a refurbished replacement. I am hoping that the replacement works better than this one.
