Completely broken after 1.5 years of use

This machine does not hold up. Mine is completely broken after 1.5 years of use - does not light up, I cannot even get the top to close. I have to buy a replacement. This is after months of leaking that I have not been able to remedy. Conveniently, it only has a 1 year warranty.
I sing the praises of Nespresso coffee to everyone but the company has a serious hurdle here with the poor quality machines. Please make a machine that lasts!

2 machines died in less than 2 years.

We have had 2 Vertuo Plus machines that have lasted 11 months then died. Today I was told that my issue was over heating or the thermal unit was bad. Both times the machine stopped working was after sitting for 24 hours. Both times Nespresso offered to repair the machine. So what do I do while you are repairing the machine? How long will it take? Note, we have different Vertuo model in our 2nd home that is at least 3 or 4 years old. No issues. Something about the Veruo Plus that does not seem to work for us.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waste of Money

I purchased this machine as a gift and it only worked 3 times. This coffee maker is not worth the money or aggravation!

not durable

Mine kept on stopping til it officially stopped working fully after 6 months. The "rebooting,
unplugging technique" worked few times but now it finally gave up. It made a hissing sound whenever I try to brew then light turns red and freezes there. I loved the coffee it made though. I am thinking of buying the Citiz as replacement. Hopefully this is more
durable.

Finally, the Ideal single cup coffee maker

I love coffee and have been drinking it daily for over 60 years. But I am the only coffee drinker in my house, and the hassle of making a decent single cup of coffee was always a problem until Keurig came out with its single brew coffee maker in 2006. The coffee was never great, but it was decent, and the coffee came out hot, which I liked.
Recently I acquired the Nespresso Veturo Plus ,and now I’ve finally found my ideal coffee maker. It is more convenient to use than the Keurig, and the coffee is produced is much better. It appears that this coffee maker is also sold with Breville and De’Longhi labels, but I suspect all three are identical.
This coffee maker is very easy to use. Unlike the Keurig, it doesn’t have a setting that keeps the water always hot, but it only takes a minute or so to heat up. The water reservoir in the Nespresso is larger, meaning you don’t have to refill it as often, and it is much easier to remove, refill and replace than the Keurig. Cleaning is easier, and the Veturo takes up less room on my kitchen counter.
While the Nespresso Veturo line of coffees aren’t as extensive as what is available for Keurig, I found the Nespresso coffees offered to be excellent, with a range of strengths that exceeds that available from my Keurig. In addition, I sometimes enjoy a double espresso, which the Nespresso makes pretty well.
I have read complaints that the coffee doesn’t come out hot enough in the Nespresso machine. But it does. What’s needed is a good, heated insulated cup to keep the coffee hot. I have found the BTaT- Insulated Coffee Mugs, Glass Tea Mugs, Set of 4 (12 oz, 350 ml), Double Wall Glass Coffee Cups, available from Amazon to be the ideal cup. To make a cup of coffee in the morning I first turn the coffee make on by pressing the button on the top. I then fill a coffee mug with water and heat it for two minutes in the microwave, meanwhile making my breakfast. When breakfast is almost ready, I pour out the hot water from my cup and brew a cup of coffee in the Nespresso. If I time it right, breakfast and coffee are ready at the same time, and my coffee is nice and hot for the time it takes to eat my breakfast. A great way to start a day.

Coffee/espresso Heaven!

Just got my set today and am beyond excited about it! Sooo simple to use and the aerrocino is amazing! I just put my favorite creamer in it and push a button! PERFECTION. The espresso machine is just as easy to use and the flavor will make you say goodbye to Starbucks. Be aware that the pods determine the size of your coffee pour.
