Not what I expected

I've had the machine for a little over a year, primarily using it once a day and clean it regularly. 3 weeks ago I started having the machine flash red. I've descaled it twice, rinsed it countless times, thoroughly cleaned every bit of the machine inside and out... continually get the same error through the app that the machine cannot read the barcode.
Not sure what to do but it's impossible to recommend this product. The cleaning system is a pain but you can figure it out and the coffee is good when the machine works, but as you can see from the vast amount of reviews... the machine hardly works as advertised.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mildly Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received our new Vertuo Next, we’ve had Nespresso Vertuo for 4-5 years. We notice coffee wasn’t as ‘hot’ as we’d like. We put out hope in a new machine. We’re disappointed as the coffee temperature from our new Vertuo Next isn’t ‘piping’ hot and the closing mechanism is actually more difficult to operate.

2 Years and Going Strong!

I received my Vertuo Next for Christmas in 2020. After receiving it I was so excited until I was reading reviews saying how terrible the machine, problems with leaking, etc. I got nervous as to whether I should ask the gifted to return the machine for a different model. However, I thought to give it a fighting change. Over 2 years later and the thing is still working like a pro! I’ve gotten several others to get Nespresso machines after serving them drinks made on my Next. If you’re thinking of getting this machine but are scared of the negative reviews, GET IT! Angry people are the loudest and happy people tend to not write reviews as much. Just make sure to maintain the machine, use it properly, and reach out to customer support if something goes awry rather than taking to Internet forums! Cheers!

My 1st Nespresso

My WOW moments.

My first WOW moment was after placing my machine order, I was told delivery would be 3-5 days, I received it in 2 day! My second WOW moment, east setup for first use. Finally WOW moment, experiencing/indulging my first cup of coffee; the aroma was amazing, preparing my taste buds to the rich smooth, creamy coffee, pure satisfaction!

Super versatile!

Too loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We much prefer our Vertuo Plus over the Vertuo Next. The footprint was similar in size so the next wasn’t much smaller if at all and was way too loud. We returned it and will purchas another Vertuo Plus. Returning was very easy, thank you Nespresso.

We recommend running a priming cycle once a week through your machine, to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body, and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. Leaks!

After using for a year, the machine started to leak on the bottom. There is a puddle of water under the machine if the water storage tank has any water in it. Kind of annoying to have to clean water up every time you want to use it.
