Broke within one month of purchase

Was fine working at first but then there were some issues and then one day it didn't work at all. The water tower drippped as well. Nespresso is replacing it but discouraged by the product's inefficiency.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Inconsistent machine

We bought our machine in May 2021. It worked fine until the end of January 2022. We started having to run a cleaning cycle daily just to get it to brew a cup of coffee. We called three times to troubleshoot, and ultimately they sent us a new Next machine since it was still under warranty. We had the new machine a week, and it just died. We can't get it to brew, to reset, to run a cleaning cycle. Nothing! Called Nespresso, and tried to troubleshoot with no success. They're sending a new VertuoPlus machine now. To be clear, customer service has been great. I know they have to do everything on their end to make sure it's not an issue that can be resolved. I'm hopeful a new, different machine will bring us better luck and more coffee!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible machine

I went through two of them. First one broke within 2 weeks and second a little more then a month. First one had smoke coming out of it. The second just stoped brewing makes the noise but nothings happening! Really disappointed with this machine!

Vertuo Last

We have enjoyed the VertuoPlus for 2 years in our home with no problems. Our daughters thought my husband would enjoy the VNext at our lake house. Since it brews a carafe we could get rid of our Keurig and regular coffee maker and just have 1 machine on the limited space counter. From the beginning, this product has been a dud. First, it blew out the fuse of the outlet in our kitchen - the same one we had the Keurig plugged into. The open/close mechanism is hard to use and always feels like we are going to break it. Much prefer the VPlus design. The other (and biggest) complaint is for no seemingly logical reason half the time this thing doesn't work. The light keeps blinking yellow. The only way to fix is to unplug and replug the machine. So every morning I feel like it is playing slots in Vegas. Will the light be the right color? Will the coffee actually brew or will I have to rescue the unused pod from the waste area and go through the battery of troubleshooting to get the darn thing to work. I would say just having the carafe feature is definitely not worth it for this dud of a machine. The engineers who designed this model should be fired - it is an embarrassment to the Nespresso brand. It is so disappointing since we love our original Vertuo. In reading the reviews I also find it suspect that most of the 5-stars came from people who got the product for free. Buyer beware!

Faulty model

We've gone through 2 of these machines in less than 3 weeks. First one just stopped working out of no where, second one started profusely leaking water everywhere and really only working when it wanted to (only owned it for 8 days). Finally called Nespresso and am getting it exchanged for the Virtuo even though it's an older model. Really disappointing.

Stopped working

We got this product as a gift. Love the coffee but it only works for 4 weeks then stopped. They are sending a new one but I have little hope based on all the other stories on here about faulty machines. Very disappointed.

Convenient and good enough, when it works

1. I got this machine from a friend as a house warming gift. Used it for 3-4 months then it stopped working. I got a replacement unit and same thing happened again. Got another replacement (different model). Still waiting to get it, but hope it will work better. 2. I would like to see a temp adjustment option because sometimes I like it hotter. Currently the temp is predetermined by the machine. 3. Customer service is great. I am not switching to another brand because of the service.

As part of your machine’s maintenance, we recommend you follow the Clean Cycle at least once a week, to rinse away any granule and residue buildup in the head of your machine.
