Faulty machine

I purchased this machine about 6 months ago. Initially, it worked great, but the open and close function is a little clunky. The machine started overheating and wouldn't make two cups in a row. NOW, it does not work at all. I have a different model at my office that still works like a dream. I would skip this one if I were you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I absolutely love the

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the size of this. It doesn’t take a large amount of counter space. It breed quickly and the pods are wonderful. My only complaint is that the pods are a bit pricey. But I think it’s worth it for the avid coffee drinker!

We have enjoyed the VertuoPlus for 2 years in our home with no problems. Our daughters thought my husband would enjoy the VNext at our lake house. Since it brews a carafe we could get rid of our Keurig and regular coffee maker and just have 1 machine on the limited space counter. From the beginning, this product has been a dud. First, it blew out the fuse of the outlet in our kitchen - the same one we had the Keurig plugged into. The open/close mechanism is hard to use and always feels like we are going to break it. Much prefer the VPlus design. The other (and biggest) complaint is for no seemingly logical reason half the time this thing doesn't work. The light keeps blinking yellow. The only way to fix is to unplug and replug the machine. So every morning I feel like it is playing slots in Vegas. Will the light be the right color? Will the coffee actually brew or will I have to rescue the unused pod from the waste area and go through the battery of troubleshooting to get the darn thing to work. I would say just having the carafe feature is definitely not worth it for this dud of a machine. The engineers who designed this model should be fired - it is an embarrassment to the Nespresso brand. It is so disappointing since we love our original Vertuo. In reading the reviews I also find it suspect that most of the 5-stars came from people who got the product for free. Buyer beware!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this nespresso ! It makes the best coffee/espresso you could ever want . No need to make a trip to Starbucks you can make so much with this . I would advise to check out recipes . I live the design . It’s sleek and doesn’t take much space . One thing I really live as well as far as features is when you open it it pops that used pod into the bin and you just dump when full . I never have to guess how much water for any type of coffee for it can read the capsule you use . It’s amazing . The only thing I can complain about this is finding my favorite lol. I’ve had no issues at all with my machine . I am so thankful I was able to receive this to review . It’s a coffee lovers dream .

Dont waste your time

After about a month it the light comes on but it doesn't brew. The instructions for resetting the machine don't work. It never pairs with the app. Just pure garbage!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible

My first Vertuo Next broke within two weeks and my replacement is acting up after two months. This machine does not brew hot coffee, started leaking and overflowing at the top seams and now will not even turn on.

MORE than 5 stars!!! In Love with this machine and the Nespresso line. I just switched to a Nespresso Virtuo after being a loyal Keurig user for years (and years). YES, Nespresso is thaaaat good. YEA, it’s worth the change! Why? The quality difference is night and day! The coffee is richer, “purer”. To me, the coffee/espresso quality is the biggest difference. I had accepted and gotten used to my Keurig making almost slightly flavored water— even less water never concentrated the flavor enough. Taste a cup from Nespresso and you’ll realize what you’ve been missing.
This machine specifically is the Virtuo Next (I have the bundle + the Aeroccino frother). The Virtuo line can brew espresso or coffee and it uses a different type of capsule from the original Nespresso line (which only makes espresso). I love everything about the Virtuo Next— it’s sleek, small footprint on the countertop, brews quickly, and the taste is divine! This machine is a newer model, smaller in size than others, and it brews 5-6 different sizes. The “smart” aspect leaves the brewing conditions up to the machine and the specific instructions embedded in the capsule. The brew is rich, deep, and topped with coffee crema, and this is before even adding milk froth! The machine is easy to set up, simple to use. It’s ready to brew instantly after turning it on— no waiting time for water to heat up. Brew time is fast, < 1 minute (ish), but it is loud on account of how it extracts the coffee. But, it’s only 1 minute. My Keurig was very loud, so it doesn’t bother me.
The coffee capsules are more expensive than k-cups, but the difference in taste makes up for the price difference. With k-cups, I made/drank more to enjoy the same amount of caffeine from a single Nespresso pod. To me, the value of 1 great cup of coffee is greater than saving on 2-3 cups of meh coffee.
