Keeps breaking

I have been through 2 of these machines and they keep breaking. The first one lasted almost a year and then the laser that reads the coffee went out on it. The second one lasted even shorter at a few months. It won't do anything, not even a cleaning cycle. It is stuck on a white light.

Worked great…for a month!

Worked great for a month, then stopped all useful function. Would brew a tiny amount or a full tank of water then stopped working altogether. Just purchased the PLUS brewer instead. Crossing my fingers that we have better luck with that one.

We recommend running a priming cycle through your machine once a week to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body and aroma in each brew. We also recommend descaling your machine every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first. Great coffee--unreliable machine

I'm on my second Next. The first one was replaced for free but now this new one has quit after 5 months. They don't seem to read the capsules after a time. I've wasted at least a sleeve of coffee trying to make it work. The coffee is great, but no longer worth the expense and frustration.

Terrible product, do not purchase--it WILL break

These machines all need to be recalled! Our first one eventually started leaking water from the top area whenever we used it, and the latch became extremely hard to operate. It was replaced under warranty, but now, five months later, the replacement unit is also leaking out of the top! Search on reddit or anywhere on the internet and you'll see tons of stories like mine. On the plus side, Nespresso customer service is very good--they did a video call with me to see if they could troubleshoot the problem away, and when they weren't able to fix it, they decided to send me a VertuoPlus Deluxe instead. AVOID THE VERTUO NEXT AT ALL COSTS.

We’re happy to see you were able to speak with a Machine Expert and arranged to receive a replacement machine. For best maintenance for your VertuoPlus, we recommend to always eject the used capsule after every use, run the Clean Cycle once a week to eliminate coffee grounds build up within the brew unit, and descale your machine every three months. All removable spare parts, including the water tank, should be washed by hand at least once a week.

Coffee is delicious. Machine not so great.

I had two of them and both machines got stuck in the descaling mode and had to be replaced. Customer support was always very helpful in replacing but still annoying to deal with the issues.

Avoid it

I've had this machine since February, 2022. Unfortunately for the past month or so this machine only presses coffee when it feels like it. When cold (i.e., first capsule in the morning) it will refuse to make coffee at all and I am currently losing 1 to 2 capsules a day due to the machine ruining them.
