A great all-around brewer for espresso and coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Compared to the original Nespresso line, the new Vertuo line uses a bar code on the capsules to determine the brew settings, which enables it to serve a multi-function role beyond just espresso.
So far we have tried it with multiple different espresso pods, as well as single-cup coffee and the new pour-over carafe pods.
First, the espresso: I don't think it produces quite the rich crema that the original Nespresso line does, but I'm okay with that. The "crema" from the Vertuo Next appears more like micro bubbles than true crema, depending on the pod used. However, most of our household's espresso use is for making flat whites and americanos, so the pure shot of espresso experience is not what we are after. The important thing is the quality of 'pull' and the taste, and this machine delivers. We make fantastic flat whites that rival coffee shops, and we are happy with that.
Where this machine shines is the versatility, and we enjoy using the "pour-over" style pods to make the equivalent of a small carafe, using only a single pod. This is great value, as you get approx. 2.5-3 servings of pour-over style coffee from one pod. We are enjoying sampling different pods.
Overall, this machine is a keeper. We enjoy making cafe-quality espresso drinks while also having the ability to have more traditional brewed coffee or pour-over style coffee as well.

I drink coffee religiously ( mom to three kids, 4 if you count my husband and I also have 2 fur babies) and sometimes it could get boring I am happy this has a variety of drinks you can make along with how much you would like. I have made some pots I never drink and I hate wasting so much so this helps.I have personally been happy to make some lattes and espressos. This is a bit of a heavy machine and I have seen some reviews complain about the bulkiness but to me its no more room than these K names machines. I would recommend these.

Amazing! My house smells like a café!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this machine, it's easy enough to use and really doesn’t take up too much counter space as other machines I’ve used in the past. I especially love the design, it is sleek and slender and looks like a timeless piece of kitchenware that fits in with any space in and outside of our kitchen. It makes delicious coffee every time and makes me feel like I have a live-in barista! I would completely recommend it.

Disappointing

I am truly disappointed in this machine. I bought my vertigo next last December and loved it but for the past month it has started leaking so I tried to descale the machine and now it’s stuck on the orange blinking light. Tried to do a factory reset and it won’t even let me do that. 10 months and now it’s useless
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend running a priming cycle once a week through your machine, to assist with keeping the taste, texture, body and aroma in each brew. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this Vertuo Next Premium in Rose Gold. I love the small and compact design. It fits right in a small space on my counters. This machine absolutely makes the best tasting coffee that I’ve ever had. I love the capsules and how the machine stores the used ones, and also the automatic ejection. It’s so easy to press a button and it knows the size and everything. The instructions were easy to understand and use. I haven’t experienced snd issues at all either.

The included pods were delicious and a nice deviation from our normal single-use coffee machine or drip machine coffees. The machine is easy to use and looks very fancy.

Poor durability

DON'T BUY THIS!!!! This machine is fragile and easily out of work after one year. I owned two of this machine and both of them are shut down with no reason after one year. Even if you call customer service, they will ask you to rinse it and brew the coffee and sometimes will work. BUT it will not work again on the next day morning when you are hurry to go to work. You need to rinse it again before you try to brew ONE coffee in the morning! This is a really disaster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
