Broke After 9 Days THEN 25 Days Wait for Replacement

I spent the money for their Smart Oven Air Fryer. 9 days after purchase, the machine shut down and refused to start again. I sent it back. Then waited 25 Days for my replacement. What's worse, if i didn't call and apply pressure, it could have been months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't buy this product if you want an air fryer

The Smart Oven Air Fryer is just a toaster oven with more options but the air frying option doesn't really work. It has an air frying basket but you can't let anything drip out of the basket or any breading or bits of food fall off. The surfaces of the fryer cannot be cleaned well and will be scratched and ruined even with a non-scratch scrub sponge! I'm very disappointed with this gadget. Breville: please don't answer this message with your thanks and an apology saying that my comments will help you design better gadgets.

Chipping and blistering paint

It is extremely disappointing that this product is not built to last. After less than a year of use, the paint is chipping and blistering off around the edges of the door. For such a high end brand and such an expensive unit, I would never have expected such an issue. The paint should simply be able to hold up to the temperature that the oven reaches. It is very sad.

The Smart Oven Air Fryer

I took time to comparing this oven to other company’s ovens. This one was my preference. It is well made.
We use this oven everyday day. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it highly. It is easy to use and when our weather is hot in our Texas summer, we don’t have to cut on the big one and our house stayed cooler. It heats up much faster than my big one and now I keep using it even in the colder weather. Our leftover pizza comes out nice and crispy and it only takes minutes. Cookies come out great and I so does my banana bread and other things we bake in it. Since it is also an air fryer we didn’t need to clutter our counter with other items. Love the crumbs tray, it pulls out for a quick cleanup.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great substitute for regular oven in a small house

We had a regular Smart Oven that died after 8 years of 5 days a week use. The fan broke and then the over couldn't come up to temperature. We had to get another one because we use it so often.
I didn't calibrate my old Smart Oven. After a 10 minute preheat set at 450F, the new one was measured 441F using a Thermoworks thermometer. Use the Air Fryer function to make chicken wings and turned out well.
We use this over our oven because we have a small household. Can't live without it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Buzzing noise

Worked well for about a year

This was a Christmas gift for me in 2021 (it’s sept 2023 at the time of this review) and I LOVE IT. I have never been able to afford such a nice appliance, so being gifted one was a dream come true. I use this appliance almost daily because of how much I love it especially for the air fryer feature. However, in the past couple of weeks we noticed that the fan does not work anymore. So we’ve tried everything we can think of the clean it out, but I’m convinced that it’s an issue with the motor/ fan rather that debris being clogged in it because of how well we’ve cleaned it. With this being such an expensive appliance, I was thinking that it would last longer or have a longer warranty. However I just found that the warranty expires after 12 months and it’s been almost 20 months since we’ve gotten it so it looks like we will not be able to use it anymore. I also looked up YouTube videos to fix it, but it requires some advanced hardware that I don’t have access to. I am super bummed that this doesn’t work anymore , especially because we cannot replace it at this time because of financial hardship. However, this is the best appliance on the market and I still recommend! We definitely got a lot of use out of it while we could.
