Cooks well and evenly but takes longer to air fry than other brands. Knobs seem a bit finicky and take a couple of times to turn to get it to move. Outside gets extremely hot unlike other ovens.

Air fryer basket rusts

Have had for 6 months now. The air fryer basket rusts after couple months of use (It's been top rack dishwasher; only place the basket fits); layering a piece of foil on the bottom defeats the purpose of the air fryer basket, unless you like rust to contact your food. Toaster oven & air fryer heating works great though; you would think at this price, Breville would use a better quality steel for its air fryer basket.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Deducted one star because Air Fryer has no ON/OFF switch. LCD display is always ON. Bought a separate plug build-in switch to remedy the situation. Very satisfies with it with what we cooked for it. Did not use all the features yet.

Bought about 3 weeks ago and use it everyday! Best decision and purchase I've made! I absolutely love it and totally meets my needs. Takes up minimal space, doesn't heat up the room like my oven does. The clean up is super easy as well. Very pleased and highly recommend this quality oven!!

Great oven with one huge flaw

I'm really disappointed in the tray mechanism. It uses a magnet to pull the tray in and out -- but it really doesn't work. There is so much friction on the magnetic plates that it's not worth the trouble and I've moved the tray down a level to avoid it entirely. And haven't gotten any solutions from Breville on how to fix this -- it appears to be more feature than bug in their eyes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second one of these we've owned. The item gets very heavy use and always cooks well. My only quibble with the way it works is that the toast settings could be a bit better; in order to get medium toast, I need to use 5 or 6 instead of 4. It is, however, missing a useful feature for a product this high-end and more expensive than most: A self-cleaning feature. It's not enough to just wipe the inside of the oven, eventually grease build-up becomes hard to remove. Self-cleaning would solve this.

This is the second Breville we've owned. Loved our Breville Mini Oven, but it died after 5 years of heavy use. This Breville takes longer to cook everything. I really miss the "a bit more" button. The beeps when the cook is complete are far too loud. I'm not wowed by the air fryer feature and would consider going back to the Smart Mini Oven instead.
