Good oven

But there is a door gap visible from top.
It's less than 1/4 inch but smoke comes from that gap when cooking.
Looks like it can't be closed all the way because of round rubber stoppers on the door. Is it supposed to have that door gap?

On my second Breville and thought it would be a great idea to have the Air Fryer option.
Well not such a good idea with this model.
Makes a mess in the oven and nothing filter the air like many others - so the house smells like something was burning.
After an hour of cleaning and all, back to basics for this oven.

I had the smaller Smart Oven Compact and long story short...I bought this and OH MY GOSH!! I am so glad I did! I LOVE the light, and the convection feature is fantastic. I especially like the larger size and the fact that you can cook a frozen pizza! Highly recommend!!!

It's is really easy to use, much easier than I thought it would be. Each day I'm learning to do something new with the oven. I especially like the toast and air fry feature, but there is a convection oven, broiler, and several other functions.

As long-time fans of the Breville Mini Smart Oven, we were excited to upgrade to the Smart Oven Air Fryer. We wanted something a bit larger that could replace our regular oven for most meals while still fitting comfortably in our tiny kitchen. The Smart Oven Air Fryer delivered, occupying the same corner as its predecessor while providing significantly more cooking space.
The interface/controls are intuitive and we’ve been absolutely amazed by how quickly and perfectly it cooks a wide variety of foods. While toast takes slightly longer than in our Mini and we miss the "A bit more" button, we appreciate the added convenience of the interior light and the magnetic auto rack eject. Cleaning is a breeze, especially with regular maintenance.
Previous reviewers complained of a loud hum, but ours is silent when it’s not in operation and shockingly quiet during all cook cycles, even those with convection. Only super convection/air fry produces a hum/fan noise.
Our only real complaint is the lack of a "skip preheat" function when adding extra cook time after a cycle ends. This can be frustrating, especially when the oven is already hot.
Overall, we’re thrilled with our Smart Oven Air Fryer. It’s the perfect solution for our small space. Highly recommend!
