It's okay. It hears very evenly in oven mode which is great. The air fryer is merely okay, my older bucket style worked better. The unit buzzes, but less than the original one that they replaced under warranty.
Some of the controls are frustrating or just downright silly, like how you can't pause the timer. Who thought that was a good idea?!

Solid product but makes a noise while not in use

The toaster oven works great! We use it almost daily and it has not given us any issues. My only complaint is that the appliance makes a high pitched noise while plugged in and not in use. I have tried it in several different outlets around the house and have even gotten a replacement oven, but the issue persists. We end up unplugging it while not in use. Aside from that, it’s a great product.

Sadly after sending the first one back and getting the replacement- both screens on this toaster oven “hum”. We have to unplug it after using it.

Impossible to clean

It seems to do a decent job as a fryer but I can’t use it for that purpose as no mafter what you cook it splatters everywhere. Once it spatters there seems to be no way to clean it. I have tried soaking and scrubbing as hard as I can with the non abrasive scrubbers to no avail.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than the recipe directions

Hung done this several times now I am happy to say that the baking potatoes cut into French fries can be seasoned (after a soaking in cold water) and placed in the wire basket without oil and then air fried for 20minutes (perhaps a little more depending on your taste). And the 10 more minutes at 350. No shaking needed. No fat and crispy crunchy as can be! Same goes for chicken wings. No oil but plenty seasoning, onion powder, garlic salt and pepper paprika etc. I had no baking powder or corn starch so I used a little flour and that worked fine too. And… no turning them over half way. Hooray!

I love this Breville Toaster oven/Air fryer. My previous one lasted ten years, it would’ve been longer, but I was cleaning and squeezed the glass heating element too hard and broke it. I used my oven three/four times a day and also bakes, roasts and air fry. It’s an amazing, easy to use, and easy to clean mini oven. Thanks Breville!!

The Ne Plus Ultra of multi-function toaster ovens

As the previous owner of a Brevelle oven ( BOV860BSS), this one is a good bit larger and perhaps more heavy duty. We've done everything from air frying hot dogs to a full beef Wellington with great results every time. Also, it seems that the convection fan has been ruggedized, which may have been a weak point in the old one. Our 13" pizza stone works fine as does the cutting board from the previous unit. Very impressed.

I originally bought this because I wanted an air fryer, but I use very little of the function because it doesn’t produce expected results. However, everything else of this oven is wonderful — from toasting to roasting, and I use it every day. This oven makes cooking such a joy.
