Luxury Espresso & Cold Brew Machine for the Aficio

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the De’Longhi- La Specialista Touch Espresso with Cold Brew Machine for over a month now.
The stainless steel machine’s design is sleek, beautiful, and functional.
Measuring approx 16x11x14, the machine is a great size- not too large or overbearing for the kitchen.
It is incredibly high- tech with an electronic touch screen that effortlessly guides you through your options of making preset recipes for Espresso drinks like Cappuccinos, Macchiatos, Lattes, etc. It also has the added features for cold brew, hot water, and hot milk.
The frother is excellent. I’m dairy-free, and it’s amazing that it offers technology that adapts to the style of milk and provides effective, delicious frothing for any type of milk offering.
Along with the step by step touch screen guide, the bean grinder and the precision tamper are both excellent tools to help make a perfect cup.
Although the tools and screen and machine are top notch, I will say that for the average person with a busy life, this machine could be considered quite labor intensive. You have to have patience and practice with it and really learn as you go. You may not get a perfect cup the first few times. It’s a craft we needed to master first, and it took some time. We got a little frustrated at times. However, after we put the time and effort in, we got it down.

Love the guided process of finding the proper dose for your beans. It will ask you the type of bean, how dark the roast is, and then give you step by step directions for getting to the perfect cup of coffee. You can even save this configuration for the next time you buy this specific bean. With my older model of La Specialista, I would often get lazy and not fine tune the perfect cup, but settle for 'good enough'. This makes it very easy to always drink great coffee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the de longhi coffee machine for about 2 months now and it is the perfect balance between automation and control. The integrated grinder lets me put in the beans I want to use without having to clutter up my counter with a separate machine for it. The dosing guide the dosing ring the tamper and tamping mat are all included and fit the visual aesthetic of the machine and make it appear really intentional and organized even when its just on my counter. The touchscreen is intuitive and really user friendly, it actually makes suggestions too to help adjust and customize which makes the morning coffee experience pleasant and is a fun pick me up for the day. The espresso quality is rich and balanced and the best part is that the steam wand is self cleaning!! I can put in half and half almond milk whole milk and it works great with all of them. I also appreciate the cold extraction feature for fast iced drinks. This machine has transformed my coffee experience for the better. This feels like a serious step up from entry level machines but keeps the process approachable and easy. It is ideal for flavor and freshness and I truly feel like I am getting my coffee from a beautiful european cafe. My favorite appliance this year and as a happy aside, it is definitely a topic of conversation when anyone is in my home. Either they want one or we get to talking about it and how it works.

Good variety- espresso and cold brew

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine took time to set up but it was a one time thing and we were being careful. Now every morning I can whip up a delicious latte without much thought and cleanup is also easy. All the espresso pucks knock out cleanly, and the coffee tastes great. I first used the cold brew option when I forgot to refill the beans and had an uneven amount of coffee in my portafilter, but it was delicious so I’ve been making more. Minus one star for the steam wand, which makes pretty bubbly milk on auto mode. I can lift it to use it manually, but was looking forward to not having to think about that.

A good product for experienced coffee lovers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is a good machine overall, but not very beginner friendly. I didn’t have any experience with non-automatic machines so this was kind of hard to use and took some time to get the hang of. If you’re experienced in coffee machines and how to use them then this would be a great machine for you. Otherwise, the product is very sleek looking, and looks great in the kitchen.

Coffee shop beverages in my house

This is the new favorite machine in our house and it is used every day. It looks great on the counter too. My house smells like a coffee shop. Right when you get it out of the box you will need to set it up which is easy because it will walk you through the steps to get started. It even asks what type of coffee you are using. It has multiple different choices including espresso, cappuccino, latte, cold brew and more.
