Great beginner espresso machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This espresso machine gives you the ability to load it with full whole coffee beans and then instantly brew. I’ve always found the idea of grinding beans separately to be too tedious so this was a great find for me. My family is loving the drink options.

The controls are intuitive and make switching between espresso, Americano, and milk-based drinks quick and easy. If you’re looking for café-quality drinks with the push of a few buttons — and don’t mind the machine taking up some space — this one’s worth it.

A work of art!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This espresso machine has enabled me to make the most incredible coffee from the comfort of my home. The first drink I made was a cappuccino. I was so impressed, I made a latte. That was a dream, so I made an iced coffee. The next thing I knew, I had too much coffee to drink at once. The customization options are plentiful. You can really tweak to your heart’s desire: temperature, intensity, frothiness. All of it. I wondered if there would be a learning curve, as I’ve never operated an espresso machine. It was a breeze. I never knew I needed so many programmable settings until I started using this incredible product. One unexpected element, is that it comes with a testing strip to determine the extent to which you have hard water, so that it can adjust. Brilliant. Also, what an absolutely gorgeous looking piece of equipment. Easy to clean, too. It’s a delight to get out of bed in the morning, knowing I have this machine waiting for me.

High learning curve, but delicious coffee either w

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am pretty tech savvy and a coffee enthusiast. With that said, finetuning the perfect coffee with a manual espresso machine is something that may require a lot of trial and error, as it has in my case at least. I never knew that grind size and tamping had such an effect on the output of coffee. I feel like every day is a new experiment to see if I finally mastered the correct combination for the ideal flow. I hesitate to write this review, because even though I’ve had this machine for over two weeks now, and I use it daily, we’re still in the early dating stages.
Anyway, with all that said, even though I know I still have a lot to learn and experiment with, there is no denying that the coffee that slowly sputters out of this machine is some of the most delicious coffee I’ve had thus far. Before this, I was using a Delonghi automatic, which basically handled all that stuff for me. But the challenge of mastering the perfect cup of coffee with this machine, plus the incredible flavor payoff (even without perfecting the technique yet) is something that has me hooked.
I’ll leave you with my own takeaway sorted into pros and cons:
Pros:
Small footprint, especially for such a fancy machine
Easy, fully guided onscreen setup
Attractive touchscreen and beautiful stainless steel finish
Large water tank
Extracted coffee is undeniably delicious
Milk frother is excellent- heats your milk and provides customizable temperature and froth levels (no, there’s no actual art)
Very easy to clean drip tray and accessories
Cons:
High learning curve if you don’t want to use bean adapt (bean adapt seems wasteful)
Customer care wasn’t very helpful/enthusiastic in guiding me through the process. I’m left wondering if my machine may have a faulty mechanism/pressure issue or if I just need to keep experimenting. You would think that for such a high level coffee machine brand, their customer care agents would be more passionate about resolving the issue
Height clearance - I have mugs that don’t fit under the spout (I end up using the milk frothing pitcher and transferring to my mug)
