Woks like a slow computer and randomly resets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a great looking microwave but the touch sensitive buttons don’t respond immediately when touched until a second or two later. We’ve had it for a month and it’s randomly reset itself mid cook mode than once and it won’t let you do anything until you reset the date and time first.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful but not practical

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my house renovated with upgraded electrical. This microwave frequently trips the circuit. I plugged it into a different socket on a different circuit, and it tripped it again. Also, there is no turntable and I find that I have to heat my items much longer than I had to with my 25 year old sharp 1200 watt microwave. The toasting feature takes way too long to toast two slices of bread. I haven't used the airfryer yet but I am not optimistic. It's a gorgeous microwave with a beautiful display but I would not buy this product again.

Broke after a few months, parts STILL on backorder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The worst experience I’ve had with a kitchen aid product by far. It’s clear we received a lemon. But the fact that parts for this product are on back order suggests ours isn’t the only one.
To be fair we also have a kitchen aid refrigerator and dishwasher and those appliances have had zero issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Its a KitchenAid of course

Two new microwaves died

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First new microwave malfunctioned and couldn't be repaired. Second new microwave died within a week. Love the look and features of this model. The problem may be installation instructions that say it is only recommended that the microwave is on a separate circuit. It is not required. Our electrician verified that the circuit is fine but it also powers the range. At our cost we we will have a separate line installed for the microwave after Whirlpool delivers a third microwave. At this moment we are scheduled for another service call and are waiting to see how Whirlpool handles this issue.

Looks great and works great, vent fan is awful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to match the rest of my appliances, I don’t like microwave vent combos, but this was one of the only options. As a microwave it works great and heats quickly. I love all the different settings, although the menu makes it a little bit hard to navigate through them. It’s clunky and often slow. I’ve used to bake and broil and it works great even though it does get quite hot. The big downside is the fan. Especially when baking it runs constantly and it is so loud. Almost louder than a vacuum venting is also just not good, steam from the range below fog up the big screen. I have my in invented externally and it still does a terrible job of removing smoke and cooking fumes.
