Terrible

This is a very expensive microwave to also be terrible. The air fry doesn't work at all. I was careful to make sure I was using the fry basket correctly since it also comes with a shelf and roaster pan. I was so excited to buy this. Full regret. Very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks GREAT but doesn't work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It pains me to give this appliance only 1 star. I was so excited to find an appliance that had all these features, including an air fryer. I told everyone about it--it's like I had found the holy grail of kitchen appliances. I had it installed and it looked great. However, it didn't work. I made toast---the bottoms didn't toast. I baked brownies--the edges burnt and the middle was uncooked. I made pizza--same as the brownies, edges burnt and middle didn't cook. It had only been a week so I called KitchenAid to return the product. The first person I spoke to said I could not return it because I had "used" it. Testing its features to find out if they worked or not was considered "using" it. She said the installer tested it before he left. I explained that he only tested the microwave--he didn't toast, bake, cook, broil, or air fry anything. I asked to speak to a supervisor, was transferred, and was disconnected (shocking). I called back, spoke to a different customer service person who was much more helpful, and she arranged to have the appliance returned. I REALLY wanted it to work---it has everything you could want, it's flush mounted, and it looks very good. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awful instructions on how to cook different items

You have plenty of instructions on how to take care of it, but no videos or suggestions on how to cook! I can read the suggestions as well as the next person, but so far toasting is a big FAIL. The fan is great though. Do you leave the pan in the bottom of the oven all the time? I've been taking it out. The oven barely fits a dinner plate. I really want this thing to work. Needs a turntable can I add one?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of Features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it! The air fryer is wonderful and the toast function is exceptional! My husband loves the button to open the door. The cabinet depth gives more room on the gas stove top and looks very streamlined. I researched a lot of microwaves before purchasing this one. I do think it was more expensive than it should be and would have liked to have had the proofing feature but I am happy with my purchase. The only downside other than price is like all the microwaves I have tried with the butter melt or soften feature it runs too hot and splatters all over the microwave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my new flush-mount microwave a few weeks ago and love it! It’s not as deep and does not have a turntable but I haven’t missed it at all. The air fryer feature is awesome. Food comes out evenly cooked and moist. It did not come with an instruction guide but there is a handy chart on the inside that guides you through the level and rack you should be using. I do need a little more detail on cleaning, etc. so I will see if I can find instructions online. It’s pretty intuitive and it does walk you through the steps depending on the feature being used. It also sends you text alerts when the food is finished. Couldn’t be happier with this microwave.

Something that should take 2 minutes to heat up can take 6 to 8 minutes

Piece of garbage

this broke 2 weeks after installation. Been chasing kitchenaid for 6 months for a replacement and and am getting the run around. Stay away!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3 month ownership now, works great, wish for a easy manual though because it can do so much. Great baking function! Fast (lower the temp about 25° and shorten your bake time). Like the light feature and vents (no outside venting needed). Blows out the top but does not heat up cabinet space above
