This thing is junk. If you want an actual microwave get something else. Won’t even cook popcorn. Will never buy kitchen aid again, all of the new appliances are crap.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Versatility

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, we love this microwave. We love that we can use it as an oven for holiday meals. It works great to heat/bake side dishes. We use the air fry setting several times a week. We have used most of its functions and so far, they work as expected when you follow the simple directions on the screen. The only reason we gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the fan is quite loud and runs so long after the food is removed.

Awesome Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the KitchenAid microwave in March and have been very happy with its versatility and wide range of cooking functions. The air fry feature quickly became our most-used function and largely replaced our Ninja Foodi air fryer. While the Ninja Foodi still produces slightly crispier results, the KitchenAid’s convenience and combination cooking features outweighed the need to keep a separate appliance.
The microwave preheats surprisingly well for a combo unit, and cooking performance has been very consistent across different functions. Crisping performance is good overall, especially for frozen foods, leftovers, and quick meals, even if it does not quite match a dedicated air fryer. Ventilation has also worked well and does a solid job clearing smoke and cooking odors. We also appreciate how evenly it heats food compared to previous microwaves we’ve owned.
Overall, it has been a great all-in-one appliance that saves counter space while still performing well across multiple cooking functions.
I would recommend this to a friend!

LOVE IT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been extremely happy with my KitchenAid over-the-range oven. It combines a sleek design with excellent performance, making it a great addition to my kitchen. The oven heats evenly and consistently, which has made baking and roasting much easier and more reliable.
The controls are intuitive and easy to use, and I appreciate the variety of cooking features available. The over-the-range design helps save valuable counter space while still providing plenty of cooking capacity. The built-in ventilation system works well to remove smoke, steam, and cooking odors.
Cleaning is straightforward, and the stainless-steel finish looks great and has held up well over time. Overall, this oven offers outstanding quality, convenience, and performance. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

Great idea, great look but disappointed

I LOVE the look of the microwave. Super cool, I love that it is a multifunctional, over the range appliance which means that I do not need to have as many things on my kitchen countertop. However, the air frying function takes a long time to cook my food so I have given up trying to use it for that purpose. This was really disappointing to me because I was looking forward to that function as I have toddlers and they love chicken nuggets. Lastly, probably the biggest qualm I have with this product, is the grime that collects inside the unit near the toaster oven heating element at the top of the unit. This area at the top is concave to accommodate the heating element and it is covered/ blocked by a grate that cannot be removed so there is no way to clean it. I have had this microwave oven for 6 months and this area has already become discolored and it is unsightly. For the record- I do cover my food when cooking it with the microwave function. The owners manually explicitly mentions to avoid abrasive material when cleaning and it has no mention of how to clean this specific area. This is really disappointing for such an expensive product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
