15 minutes to warm up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sorry but it takes over 15 minutes for the Owen to warm up to 350 degrees. Any way to speed up this process???
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please see the following for some troubleshooting tips:
Oven preheat times depend on the element type, oven size, and desired temperature.
Typical Preheat Times (to 350°F):
Visible Heating Element (with all racks in): 12–15 minutes (plus or minus 5 minutes).
Hidden Bake Element: 20 minutes (plus or minus 5 minutes).
Preheat time increases if the desired temperature is higher than 350°F.
Factors That May Increase Preheat Time:
Racks: Unused racks left inside the oven.
Oven Door: Opening the door allows heat to escape and cools the oven.
Aluminum Foil: Lining the entire oven rack or bottom with foil blocks proper airflow.
Voltage (Electric Ranges): Installation on 208V instead of 240V (common in buildings with elevators) will increase the preheat duration.

Poor quality control

I purchased this range & within 5 weeks while baking got the FEE6 error. Local Service came out next day & said it’s a communication problem with board. They brought me a new range within a week. I was happy.
So 1 week later, while baking again, I heard a grinding noise like something wrong in garbage disposal & then smelled electrician burn- ERROR FEE6 once again. I called local distributor- they called Maytag/Whirpool. Still waiting on call from the Safety division but there’s an email stating I have a Monday service call scheduled! I sit here with the electric burn smell in my kitchen. I am hosting Easter dinner at my home with no oven…. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

My first Maytag range

You can’t rely on anything

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the range which was installed 3 days before Christmas. The digital display is faulty and needs to be replaced. Thankfully it works with WiFi but is inconvenient. The oven vents in the back along with 2 protruding areas prevent it from fitting nicely against the counter top in back.

Where Are The Manuals?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a Maytag owner over the years with previous purchases. I can't believe I've just gotten a new Matag Range and Microwave with no owner's manual included! No owner's manual for this specific electric range model found posted for downloading on the Matag website. Same goes for the Matag microwave purchased as the same time, no owner's manual included with the microwave upon delivery and setup. How difficult is it to place a hard copy owner's manual inside the oven and microwave prior to boxing and shipment? Initially setting the clock time on the oven turned out be a grueling experience. Touch control for this setup adjustment difficult and somewhat unresponsive to the touch. Not off to a good start with the electric range. Not interested in spending my time on Maytag websites bouncing between pages trying to find operating information on the new products I've just purchased. Warranty registration on both new products was also not simple and by phone a time-consuming process. Not interested in those frequent Maytag emails wanting to sell products (including water filters etc) as in the case of what I continue to receive for my two-year old Maytag French Door refrigerator. (PS. Right door gasket on refrigerator already failing not under warranty and has a hefty replacement cost.). Not the Matag products I once knew.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Suggestions for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the range, but would have liked an owners manual included with at least basic instructions about all the available functions. The storage drawer should have been made more sturdy to accommodate heavy items. And also instructions on how to clean cooked on foods from the cooktop, it is almost impossible to not have spills and drips. I was afraid of scratching or damaging the top. I used lemon juice which worked ok, then discovered a cleaning product made for glass/ceramic cooktops which worked great. I recommend that you put a sample of the appropriate cleaner with instructions in each new range and cooktop.

Love the range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this range for about a month now and I love the way it looks and the way it cooks. I have not yet used all of the features so I can't speak to all that. I've used the air bake and the range top itself. It works great. The only negative is the lower drawer. It is very light weight and easily comes off the tracks. I have a hard time getting it back in straight once opened. I usually store my pot lids in the drawer but have taken them out because of the difficulty in closing it.
