Unfortunately it scratched on the first day so i had to buy s pads to protect it from further meal is more laborious because the pafalso have to be cleaned in the sink

Perfect control

as the quick response. Whether gently melting or needing a rapid boil or a slow simmer, this cooktop makes it easy and consistent. Also very easy to clean.

Think carefully before purchasing a Maytag cooktop

As a chef recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease, I can no longer safely eat out at restaurants due to the extreme risk of gluten exposure and cross-contamination. If I get exposed, I become seriously ill for weeks. Cooking safely at home is no longer a luxury for me — it is essential to my health and daily life.
After my old cooktop failed, I purchased a new cooktop from Maytag thinking I was investing in reliability and peace of mind. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating appliance experiences I have ever had.
Of course I prefer gas stove tops, but my kitchen is electric.
First, it took nearly THREE MONTHS to arrive and be installed. Then, within two weeks of use, the FI and E1 error codes began flashing, my main burner stopped working, and the remaining burners started turning on and off intermittently while cooking. I have also experienced inconsistent temperature control issues.

What makes this even worse is that normal condensation from cooking — such as lifting a lid from a pot of soup — can apparently trigger the cooktop to shut off. Imagine trying to meal prep while constantly fighting with burners that randomly stop working.
I have now been dealing with this since late March. The first repair company ordered the wrong parts, and now I am being told there are multiple parts needed and that repairs require a two-person installation team, pushing the repair back AGAIN. Meanwhile, I am stuck trying to cook on two unreliable burners that shut off mid-cooking. For someone with serious GI and autoimmune health issues, this has been an absolute nightmare.
At this point, I no longer want repairs or replacement parts. I simply want a reliable stove that functions properly. I also believe Maytag should compensate customers who experience this level of inconvenience and disruption so soon after purchase.

I would strongly caution anyone — especially those with serious dietary restrictions or health conditions like Celiac Disease — to think carefully before purchasing a Maytag cooktop. Reliable cooking equipment matters far more than people realize when your health depends on it. Extremely disappointed.

Faster, Cleaner, Safer Cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are moving from a gas or old electric stove, this thing feels like a huge upgrade. It is super fast, look really modern and having 36 inches of space makes a big difference if you actually cook a lot.
The power booster mode is amazing. It can boil a pot of water in about a minute, which is way faster that what im used to waiting around 10 minutes on my old gas stove. It’s really good at staying the exact same temperature you set. Things like pancakes or grilled cheese come out better because the heat doesn’t jump around.
There are special buttons for simmering melting, and boiling so you don’t have to guess which number to select.

The XL cooking zone is great for big pans or those long griddles. You can even fit two smaller pans on that side at the same time. Since the glass top doesn’t get burning hot like a regular stove spills don’t get baked on you can just wipe it after you’re done making cleanup easy and safer cooking experience. It comes fully assembled just need to install via electrical connection or higher an electrician to install for you is highly recommended.

Maytag induction chef for life

This five element unit is stunning in my kitchen, beautifully stylish, and easy to clean. Induction cooking is different and I have grown to love it over the past five years. Maytag is high quality with strong engineering and manufacturing.

This Thing is a Workhorse!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop is amazing. The app has several features that make this cooktop better than the rest. It takes about 30 seconds to a minute to boil water. Cleaning the cooktop was a breeze. The installation instructions were easy to follow and the cooktop itself fits into a 36 inch sink base. Overall, the Maytag 36 inch cooktop is a 10 star product. After a couple of weeks of heavy usage, the cooktop has proved to be very reliable. The heating is consistent and the induction on it works great. Would recommend this product to any one and everyone I know!

Heats up fast!

We are currently in the middle of a kitchen remodel and still need to replace some countertops, but we were able to install the cooktop around that. We decided to tackle the installation ourselves, and it was extremely simple, taking less than two hours. The cooktop looks great and feels durable. It heats up incredibly fast, and we’ve noticed that cooking is more even compared to our previous electric stove. Being able to set a specific temperature is a game-changer! I'm still getting accustomed to using a stove with an app, but that's a cool feature that I’m sure we'll use often. My favorite part might be how quickly and easily it cleans up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got it waiting on installation! Looks yo be low maintenance and user friendly. Better than a gas stove with reliable power and heat. Making the switch from a gas range to Induction so I dont have to worry about open flames around the kiddos. Also the Induction heats much faster.
