Large capacity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this to replace our 25 year old Maytag and are pretty happy so far. Only thing we noticed so far is that it does not allow us to wash larger cutting boards or sheet pans due to 2nd rack being a bit lower due to 1st rack. Overall, it seems to clean well and dry ok. It is super quiet, can hardly hear it running, which is nice compared to our old Maytag.

Nice looking and very quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks great and is super quiet. I’d give it a 5 but the bottom rack could have a better layout to hold large plates upright. Our plates tend to tip into the ones next to them insisted of staying straight up. Other than that it is a great dishwasher.

Solid dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it is very good. I wish it dried better on a heat dry. The Sani rinse has the best result altho it takes over 4 hours. I do like the top 3rd rack. It has it's own rinse jets but you need to be careful to load utensils so that they dry without pooling water. I do like the adjustable tins to fit various sized dishes and cookware and adjustable racks. For me it's been a little of a learning curve as online manuals are not the most helpful IMO.

Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this could definitely be a five-star dishwasher. the reason for four stars is the length of time it takes to wash anything. That being said, it is so quiet, I don't even know that it's running. Love it.

Great Whirlpool dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've now had this Whirlpool dishwasher for one week and so far it's fantastic. This replaced a more budget-friendly Whirlpool dishwasher that we purchased in 2018 which we were not so pleased with so going with Whirlpool again was not a given. This time we did get one of their higher priced models (during a sale) and it seems much better at cleaning dishes. We love the 3rd top rack, the utensil basket is way better, and we love that the door pops open when completed - the dishes are clean & dry! Right now, we could not be happier. Hopefully it lasts more than 6 years like our last Whirlpool.

Dishwasher leaks

Response from whirlpool.comBy Branded TeamConsumer CareDecember 8, 2025
Thank you for sharing your insights with us. We value your time and would like to look into the concerns with your Dishwasher.
When water leaks from the dishwasher door, follow this guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Troubleshooting and Solutions
1. Is Water Leaking from the Vent?
Issue: Small water spots on the floor immediately after opening the door.
Fact: This is condensation, not a leak, caused by water vapor released during the drying cycle.
Solution: No repair needed if the spot is small and occurs only when opening the door right after the cycle.
2. Did Someone Put Hand Dish Soap in the Dishwasher?
Issue: Excessive suds, bubbles, or foam inside. Hand dish soap is the likely cause, as it pushes water out around the door seal.
Action: Turn the dishwasher OFF immediately. Allow suds to dissipate naturally before running another cycle.
Prevention: Use only automatic dishwashing detergent. Using the wrong type or too much detergent can also cause minor sudsing. (See guide: Removing Suds...)
3. Were Dishes Pre-Washed or Soaked?
Issue: Residual soap from pre-washing/soaking reacts with the dishwasher's heat and water, causing over-sudsing and leaks (similar to point 2).
Best Practice: Do not pre-wash. Simply scrape off large food particles. This conserves water, energy, and prevents leaks.
4. Does the Dishwasher Need to Be Cleaned?
Issue: Mineral deposits and detergent film build-up can interfere with wash performance and the door seal/drainage.
Action: Clean the dishwasher every 30 days for optimal performance. Use a specialized cleaner like affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner.
5. Are Items Obstructing the Door Seal?
Issue: The seal (gasket) must be completely tight. Any obstruction creates a gap, allowing water to escape.
Action: Inspect the seal's perimeter and the racks.
Remove: Silverware, food debris, or foreign objects caught between the seal and the tub.
Reposition: Dishes or utensils sticking out beyond the rack's edge.
6. Is the Dishwasher Level?
Issue: If the unit is not perfectly level and square within the cabinet, the door may not seal correctly, or water distribution/drainage may be affected.
Action: Ensure the dishwasher is fully supported by all its leveling legs and is installed squarely in the cabinet opening. (Customer/installer responsibility).
7. Does the Door Seal Need to Be Replaced?
Issue: Normal wear, heat, or damage can degrade the door seal, causing it to fail.
Action: Inspect the seal for cracks, tears, or brittleness. If damaged or worn, schedule service for a replacement.

Happy With This Replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our insurance company replaced our Samsung with this Whirlpool. I am still trying to get used to arranging items inside as this has 3 racks and I am used to 2 but I am quite pleased with the performance. Granted I do miss the song the Samsung gave me to tell me the load was done, but the Whirlpool seems to do a better job cleaning. I especially like the "quick wash" feature for when my load doesn't need a heavy cleaning.

So quiet
on December 8, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dish washer a little over a month ago and I love it. The 3rd rack is very helpful with serving utensils and cooking utensils that I have always had to wash by hand. The blue light to let you know it’s running is wonderful because it’s so quiet you can’t hear it.
