[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had a KitchenAid dishwasher for many years but it died and after looking at LG, Bosch and KitchenAid I purchased a new KitchenAid. It does a great job of cleaning and I like the third rack which is much more usable than the ones on Bosch and LG but I find that on the 2 lower racks it seems that I can't put as many dishes as I could in my old dishwasher due to the way it is set up. I also find that since the door opens down so far to the ground and the controls are on the top edge, I frequently hit one of the buttons when opening or closing the door and then have to make sure I hit "cancel" so that the dishwasher doesn't start.

Amazing wash, but not as quiet as advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher was a massive upgrade compared to our older basic unit, with the ability to fit so many more dishes, both oversized thanks to the deep tub design, and small thanks to the third rack. We love it in every way, however, I have to deduct a star because while at times in the cycle it’s likely the 44db advertised, when the motor is running it is closer to 55db. It did quiet down some after the first few cycles as others on forums have stated, but it is still louder than expected. If it didn’t seem to be a shared gripe on the internet I’d think we got a lemon.
Aside from the noise level, this dishwasher excels in every way. I especially like the door pop option as we will often run the dishwasher before leaving for a day or two, so the moisture is not trapped inside when we return. The third rack design is much more functional than a simple flat tray, and allows so many more of our cups and small bowls to accumulate before we have to run it. We’ve honestly found ourselves having to run it before it’s full because we’re out of dishes, that’s how much room it offers while still giving dishes a thorough cleaning!
