I bought this induction range to make cooking safer, as I use a wheelchair. I'm also neurodivergent. The French doors make getting food in and out of the oven so easy. The doors hold the heat in well and don't heat up as quickly or as much as my old basic oven. They are light enough to open and close with a bit of a pull/push, and I can roll right up. However, people with upper body weakness may not be able to exert enough force to open and close them. The racks pull out to help position food for lifting, but are on a bit of an angle so must be held so food doesn't fall out onto the floor (and you). The induction stove doesn't get as hot on the edge, so resting my arm on the front lip is generally safe. It cooks well and the versatility is amazing! Just be aware that there is no bottom drawer.
The "beep" of the clock and timer are not sensory friendly, and I prefer to use an alternate cooking timer. It is a loud, high-pitched beep. The sound carries well, though, so can be heard from other parts of my house if I'm off doing something else.
The placement of the control knobs on the front is perfect. Although there is a child lock, it doesn't seem to lock anything other than the digital panel (clock, timer, and sous-vide). The stove and oven controls still function. Fortunately, the induction stove won't actually turn on without a compatible object on it, so no more melting things inadvertently by turning on the wrong burner. If a pot is removed and the burner is still on, the stove beeps and turns off after a few seconds, requiring the burner to be turned off and then back on to function again.
The stove knobs are large and need to be slightly pushed in to turn them on, but the oven knobs have no tactile indicator for "OFF". People who are low-sighted and blind would not be able to tell whether the oven is set to 325° or off without sticking something on the temperature knob to differentiate between its top and bottom. The oven setting knob is the same.
There is no indicator to know then the oven is has heated to the correct temperature. The manual says that no preheating is needed when using Conv High Bake, but it does take a little while before it's hot, so I'm not sure about this claim, yet.
The light works amazingly well to illuminate the oven, and the button is satisfying to press.
Overall, this oven performs exceptionally well, including the air fry mode. I am looking forward to playing with the various modes to learn what works best, but I generally choose Conv High Bake unless baking something delicate that could fall.
I would recommend this to a friend!
