Camera did not work, ever worked

I bought the opener in 2022. It is able to lift the garage door and that is it. I am very disappointed because the camera on this white elephant never worked. This is the main reason I purchased this expensive model. I have reached out several times to Chamberlain representatives but none of them have been able to help me to get the camera to work. I got frustrated and gave up trying. Do not buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice upgrade with some issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice upgrade. Love the LED lights and the direct WiFi connectivity. But the wiring connections were a major pain. For some reason, the connector for one set of wires would not, no matter what I did, connect properly. I ended up having to do a jury-rigged splice so that I had only a single wire to fit into the connector. Really need to do something about this antiquated way of connecting wires. I'm also still disappointed that the MyQ app doesn't allow the opener to be locked (can only do so from the panel in the garage) and doesn't allow users to set a specific notification sound.

This is surprisingly quiet

I just installed this so I don't have anything about long term. But my gate opener is a Liftmaster, which is the same company as Chamberlain, and that thing is a tank! I replaced a Genie Model 3055 with this because the wireless signal on it has been trash since I bought it 5 years ago. I would basically be already inside the garage before it detects a signal. I also wanted a backup battery. Once I installed the Chamberlain opener, I chunked that Genie in the trash.
After installation, I was suprised by how quiet it is. Almost dangerous quiet. I'm going to speculate the dogs would not hear the door opening.
My only con to this is that it doesn't come with a keypad. Strange that it's not included.
The install took me about 8 hours. It's 100 degrees outside here in Houston and it's even hotter inside a closed garage. So I would work on it and go back inside to cool off in the A/C.
Pros: battery backup, quiet, reliable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hope you don't need any tech support

One of the main reasons for purchasing this was for the integrated camera. After about 8 hours of messing with it, including several calls to customer service in another country, I have just accepted that it's crap and it won't ever work. The frustration level with this thing has been off the charts. I will avoid all myQ products in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best garage door opener I have ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unpacking was fantastic. the garage door opener and all the components were in plain sight making easy to identify all parts needed. Sometimes in order to safe space companies will pack products in a way that half way in the installation parts are missing because they are hidden in corners or under carton bends. Not with this product.
The installation was easy and really well described in the instruction manual. However, the main highlight of this manual appears in the very front page. Chamberlain offers easy step-by-step interactive 3D instructions in BILT®. This is definitely a plus for some people who might find challenging to follow written instructions or may some language difficulty(ies). GREAT FEATURE!! The process installation was easy. Although it is recommended two people, I was able to use two ladders (using one of the ladders as a support) to install the garage door opener without help.
Once the garage door opener was installed, programming the garage door opener to ensure that it opened and closed properly was easy and fast.
The operation is extremely silent and smooth. I opened and closed the garage door from a room located right above the garage and I could not hear or sense any indication of the garage door opener operating.
The built-in lights are very bright and place on the front and the back of the garage door opener providing the most lighting to areas that are needed the most the garage entrance and the door accessing my house. It is worth to reiterate that the lighting is probably the best I have ever seen in a garage door opener providing enough light across my garage where I do not need to turn the garage lights on. This is probably one of the top features on this garage door opener.
I would like to mention that this garage door opener has two doors built in for wiring. I never thought about concealing the wires to make the garage look better. I have to say that I love the fact that the way the doors are built in the front and the back make this garage door opener a really good and clean looking opener.
This is the first opener that actually includes 2 car remotes (thank you for that!!).
The only thing that I would like to see improved is the opener control that goes to the wall by the house door.
In the past, Chamberlain offered openers with screens to easily program functions in the opener, as well as for displaying the time and temperature. I really love to be able to see that information in a opener control. I personally think that the wall controller is the last piece to a garage door opener that has potential to transform a garage door opener to an awesome experience (just an idea).
The camera offers a fantastic picture (broad and clear) of what is happening in my garage.
Connecting the garage door opener to the internet and adding it to the app is easy and fast.
I conclusion, this is possible the best garage door opener out there! Five Stars from a happy owner!

Very poor Range

My 5 year old garage door opener could open 5 houses down the street. This thing I have to 2 feet from the door and in some cases I have hold the opener outside the window. Check YouTube for videos highlighting the manufacture defects. Poor design and no compatible range extender due to integrated antena

Premium Garage Door Opener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older Chamberlain garage door opener model with this new unit, and I made it a DIY project. Before starting, I found and watched a YouTube video created by a homeowner who installed the same unit. That and the instructions that came with the unit made it straightforward to assemble and install. The unit is working perfectly, and the belt drive is much quieter than the older model and from what I expected. I absolutely love the built-in camera and being able to check to see if I did indeed close the door when I left the house rather than having to drive back for a visual check. And if I failed to close it, no problem. I can close it remotely via the MyQ app. The upgrade in lights to LED really bring piece of mind as well as a premium feel to the device. I would definitely recommend this garage door opener to anyone!

Everything but the Kitchen Sink

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This opener does everything you need an opener to do with great features. The battery backup is important to me due to regular storm outages. It beats operating my door manually and, since my door doesn't lock, it protects my garage. And since I mentioned protection, the camera allows me to monitor the garage. I like the LED lighting. Most openers recommend against LED lighting due to interference but Chamberlain figured out how to get around that.
