Good product, app integration not there yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, I really like the knee wrap. It greatly aided recovery after a long grueling day. My only real gripe is that I could not get the product to connect to my phone. It’s totally usable without the app, but using it with the app would be very convenient. It could be because the model isn’t yet integrated into the ui (I have the x2 so I’m not sure it’s even technically out yet), so I’ll update later if it becomes supported.

Great recovery tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use compression boots almost every evening as a recovery tool, this was my first experience with a heating and cooling element- and a more specific area tool. First off the fit is excellent and highly adjustable. It comes with extenders if needed, but the overall size and build is perfect for my knee/leg. The Velcro is easy to adjust even while in use and overall easy to use. The settings are easy and intuitive, you can select compression level as well as cooling and heating preferences. I’ve used both on all settings and will use both for one recovery session.
I’ve used before and after a workout and honestly love it for both, will most likely use it more after a workout or run- but would be open to using it before if I have pain or knee issue.
Overall, I would recommend this and feel like it will be a game changer to help with my training. The heating and cooling alongside the compression makes all the difference. I plan to use this as well as my standard compression boots. This is hyper localized, and considering I’ve had knee issues in the past I see this being a big help keeping me healthy and able to continue movement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the Hyperice Knee to test, and I’ve been using it consistently after long runs and strength training sessions. I mainly applied it post-workout, especially on days with heavy mileage or long hours outdoors. The combination of compression and cold therapy made my knees feel supported while reducing soreness and stiffness.
The device was easy to use and much more comfortable than traditional ice packs—it stayed in place and delivered targeted relief without slipping. I noticed a clear difference in recovery: less swelling, faster return to normal mobility, and an overall lighter feeling in my knees the next day.
What I liked most is how convenient it was to incorporate into my routine. It’s quick to set up, portable, and doesn’t interrupt downtime or stretching. For me, it’s been a reliable tool for both recovery and ongoing knee care.
My only feedback is that it is hard to get the app to connect to the knee brace, and I wish it came with a storage bag to hold the product, and the charger for travel and storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the knee model and with me having bad knees from lacrosse and my fiance having a torn ACL that was never fixed we have been using this anytime we feel any soreness or after every leg day and it has been a recovery dream. I know after my quad focus days i can get some soreness and swelling in my knees and this has been able to bring that down a ton! on those quad days ill be sure to run this on a 20 min setting that goes from cold to hot every 5 minutes and do that for each leg and i wake up feeling good as new.

So far, amazing product. I've had a couple knee injuries in the past and they can get pretty sore after a lot of activity. This week, I've gone on a ruck march, walked 18 holes of golf, weight trained, and have been elk hunting. Each day I had some level of soreness and the Hyperice X2 Knee has been great to reduce, and sometimes eliminate the soreness afterwards. It feels good to use the device. The adjustable pressure level is great for comfort. The only trouble I've had is getting it to connect with the Bluetooth. Haven't been able to make that happen yet. I would recommend this to anyone who's had any kind of knee injury, or an athlete looking to take care of their knees as much as possible. Very happy with it so far.

Hyperice X2 recovery review
on August 23, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over 2.5 weeks of testing, I used it mainly after hard runs, strength sessions, and long days on my feet. Out of the box, the X2 feels premium, with clear instructions and easy setup. The straps adjust well for different sizes, and the kneecap alignment circle makes placement simple, though it takes some trial and error to avoid overtightening.
Cold therapy kicks in within seconds — not as harsh as ice, but consistent and soothing, especially when paired with compression. Heat feels like a warm blanket and, combined with compression, provides a great contrast to the cold. I really like that the device automatically alternates between hot and cold every 5 minutes and that you can adjust settings at any point during use. Longer 20-minute sessions provided the best recovery and circulation support, whereas shorter ones felt less effective.
The main drawbacks are that level 5 heat can feel too intense, the lower strap can press uncomfortably if placed incorrectly, and it would be nice if a travel bag were included. Still, the X2 is quiet, effective, and more convenient than juggling ice packs and heating pads. I recommend it to athletes dealing with knee strain or muscle soreness as a unique alternative for recovery.

Hyperice X2 Knee Review
on August 24, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an active athlete and youth soccer coach, I put my knees through a lot: coaching on the field, trail running, strength training, and prepping for long-distance events. After years of wear from football, motocross, MMA, and downhill mountain biking, my knees have significant cartilage damage and chronic inflammation. I was eager to test the Hyperice X2 Knee to see if it could offer meaningful support and recovery benefits. I used the device consistently over a 2-week period, mainly after soccer coaching sessions and before or after trail runs.
Usage and Performance
Post-Workout Use: I primarily used the X2 Knee after physical activity, especially after long coaching sessions or trail prep days. It became a go-to for post-training cooldown and recovery at home and even in the car after practice.
Pre-Workout Use: I occasionally used the heat function before runs or hikes to warm up stiff joints, especially on colder mornings. The heat combined with compression helped reduce initial stiffness.
Compression and Heat Effectiveness
Feel During Use: The device felt premium and snug without being restrictive. The compression levels were easy to adjust, and the unit stayed in place comfortably throughout each 15 to 20 minute session.
Heat Function: The heat made a noticeable difference in warm-up sessions. Compared to using standard cold-only compression like Normatec, the contrast therapy and warmth helped ease tightness and prepared my knees for motion.
Recovery Impact: I felt a measurable difference in circulation and inflammation reduction, especially after high-impact activities. The grinding in my knees felt less pronounced, and overall joint stiffness was reduced after use.
What I Liked
Cordless, intuitive setup and app interface
Dual-zone therapy allowed for better personalization
Great compression depth without discomfort
Portable enough to use anywhere, especially at home or in the car post-training
Room for Improvement
The cooling cycle takes a few minutes to ramp up, which is expected but could be faster for quick-use sessions
Battery life was solid, but a battery status indicator on the device itself (not just in the app) would be helpful
Would I Recommend It?
Absolutely. I would recommend the Hyperice X2 Knee to:
Runners, coaches, and athletes with long-term joint stress
Aging athletes looking to extend their mobility
Anyone recovering from knee strain, inflammation, or overuse injuries
It is not just a gadget. It is a functional recovery tool that has made a real difference in my performance, longevity, and day-to-day comfort.

Great warmup and recovery!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disclosure: Hyperice gave me this free product to try.
I've used this device for both warming up pre-workout and cooling down post-workout. I've also found it incredibly helpful for managing flare-ups from my knee tendonitis.
After regular use, I noticed the usual soreness I experienced both during and after exercise honestly disappeared. My knee recovery improved considerably, allowing me to return to my workouts the next day without issue. The ability to cycle between varying degrees of heat and cold, combined with compression, is a true game-changer. You also have the option to use just heat or just cold.
I saw a noticeable improvement in my performance across running, cycling, lifting, climbing, and acrobatic practice. Incorporating heat made my warm-ups faster and more effective.
I would highly recommend this to any athlete whose sport involves significant knee flexion, or who struggles with tendonitis or knee pain. It has been a huge help in both my warm-up and recovery routines. I noticed that it doesn't have bluetooth like its predecessor, but maybe that can be added in future iterations! Solid product.
