Brand new toaster-smoking and smells like plastic

Straight out of the box, the toaster smokes so much it set off the fire alarm and smells of chemicals. Requesting a full refund and that the company look into a possible product malfunction. There is no way this product is safe or healthy for consumers.

Slim toaster fits perfectly between coffee maker & griddle, making it super convenient to use or simply to tuck away on countertop. Has a nice neutral tone & modern look to it. I love it & highly recommend??
