[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kettle is great but the lid is a bit tough to work with from time to time. The bell and lighting on it is nice.The silver banding with the Kitchenaid logo is nice looking but if you are left handed it does not face the kitchen and you look at a large rivet. I would put logo on both sides.

Works well, but top doesn't open

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this electric kettle model and it looks great with my kitchen and works well. BUT, as with my last kettle (from a different company) the top doesn't open when I push the release button. I have to slip a fingernail under the rim to open it to fill the kettle. For the price, and Kitchen Aid's overall reputation for quality, this is frustrating and disappointing.

Best electric kettle

Fantastic kettle- heats up fast and stays hot. Easy to pour, great quality. I had one for years that I lost in a flood, and couldn’t wait to replace it. Love this kettle!

Very dissatisfied with this expensive electric kettle. I've upgraded from older version of KitchenAid kettle thinking this would be an improvement. The exterior is hot to the touch unlike the older version it would be slightly warm to the touch. Not more than a month and there are lime scales on the bottom of this new kettle with "lime reduction" as one of their new features of this kettle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
