Doesn’t have an annoying beep!

Excellent except for one annoying problem.

We really enjoy the features of this kettle except for one annoying fault.
Sometimes it take two or three pushes to close the lid and on three occasions the lid popped open whilst the kettle was boiling.

Looks are better than the works

I bought this kettle about a year ago, it worked well, then a month in, the button on the lid to open the lid to fill with water started sticking. We just learnt to not try an open the lid other than on a solid surface and it would open after about 5 attempts, now it takes up to 10 try's and occasionally I have given up and added the water through the spout. For the money, it is beyond disappointing and so very annoying, my husband wants to throw it away and buy a cheap and cheerful one. Poorest quality of any kettle I have purchased.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like a lot of the features of this kettle, and it looks lovely - the matte black is stunning - however opening the lid to put water in is always annoying, since the mechanism gets jammed and you have to press the button over & over again until it finally flips open. I would not buy this again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fantastic Kettle, I have been look For a temperature control kettle, and this is by far the best. Quick to boil, very quiet and can heat between 70-100 degrees depending on tea you are having
